Very very patient...

We submitted in Oct 2019, biometrics in Nov 2019, been “ready to schedule” since July 1st 2020 and nothing since. My extension letter expires on July 4th, so I’m thinking about requesting an info pass appointment.

It is an incredibly long and tedious process, but I’d say that the level of anxiety is way way below the I-130!

best of luck and patience!

Thank you Pat&Vince. Appreciate your response.I will try my best to be patient. :)

Good Luck to you. I hope you receive ease from this soon.

We had our interview today and the case was approved. We arrived at 7:45 AM in Hartford, CT. The interview was pretty simple. Just some questions right from the application ….things like verifying names, Date of Births, social security number of my wife, date of marriage etc. She very briefly reviewed the supporting docs we had brought with us and compared to some stuff we had sent in as part of the application. One thing to remember doing is to bring a copy of the originals. Most of our supporting documents were printouts but there were some originals (bills, passports, id's). Be sure to bring a copy of these. She went and made copies of the passport/ids but wasn't very happy about it. Otherwise she was polite and the interview lasted about 15 minutes. She said card will arrive in 30-45 days! Is that accurate? Also, received the email that card is being produced

Off to the N-400 Journey. Good luck everyone!

Not sure, since we did not bring copies. She took them out of the room and made copies for herself. But my guess is the bio page should be good.

Anybody here from San Diego, CA? My case was received 09/30/2020. Its in National Benefits Center. Its been 249 days and I haven't receive anything from them again. Any updates from someone who has the same timeline with me? Thank you

Yes.. almost same dates.. my wife's 18 months extension also expired on June 2nd, 2021..We visited field office and got her passport stamped which will allow her to travel 1 year.  Hoping to get 10 year GC by then.. also applied for N-400.. that will take another 8-10 months probably.  So, you re not alone my friend.

Hi... so your wife's extension visa expired already? What did you do when it expired? Mine will expire June 2022... and one more... I can apply for N400 by Sept this year as what USCIS calculator showed. So can I apply it while waiting or should I wait for me to be approved for the 10 year GC?

hey.. yes her 18 months extension expired this month... We called USCIS and explained the situation.. It seems this is normal in these days..  So, I was told that someone would call me to give me an appointment at San Diego field office..  Anyways , we got the call a week later and they give us an appointment for 2 days later.. So, it was a real quick turn around.  We visited USCIS office in downtown SD.. It was very quick meeting there as well.. They put a cold stamp to my wife's passport.. and added the info to system...There is a expiration date ( a year from now)  on that stamp..  Now , we re told that she can travel like that ..  Of course we will carry her expired GC, her extension letter along with her password if we have to travel just in case.  Here is our timeline for reference.

Sept 2019 -I-751 submitted

Oct 2019 I-751 Receipt arrived

Dec 2019   2 years conditional GC expired.

Jan 2020 Case transferred to NBC

Apr 2020 Notice ( Scheduled for interview )

Oct 2020 Applied for N-400

......still waiting for both I-751 and N-400

June 2021  18 months extension expired

June 2021 - got 1 year travel permit / stamp on passport

Since your extension is expiring in 1 year, dont worry too much... You still got time.. And you can  and should apply for N-400 when you re eligible. That s what we did..  sometimes N-400 completes before your 10 year GC arrives. .You become citizen and no longer need 10 year GC.. and USCIS will close your GC case and will not send you a GC when you re already citizen.
