Hey guys I am outside the immigration office right now

my wife had a 751 interview today . I asked the officer if he can also do the n-400 interview before he declined but after finishing 751 interview he said let’s do the n-400 also

my wife passed both interviews

then the immigration officer said wait 1 hour I will also do you oath ceremony and get done with everything

now waiting to get the oath ceremony done

my wife came to USA on feb 28th 2018 . Gained USA citizenship in exactly 3 years

journey finished

Hi all.  Wondering if there is anyone with 2019 cases still pending?  I'm sure there are, but I keep wigging out seeing all the 2020 filers, and I have to keep reminding myself that it has really been this long!  A trigger warning needs to be posted on here!  Lol.  Filed July 2019 and (still) waiting for an interview since December 2019.  Went ahead and filed N-400 July 2020 and got notice just last month that they will be reusing my husband's biometrics.  So, that is good I guess.

We took bank statement, investment brokerage account statement, daugther birth certificate, 3 years tax returns, a picture album, utlitliy bills and few other regular things

He looked at EVERYTHING

it was a very detailed interview. He asked a lot of questions. cross-questioning meaning questions about me/my family from her. Then questions about her/her family from me.

However, if your case is genuine you don't have to worry about anything. They are primarily trying to determine if you got into marriage to get greencard.

good luck

Yes, I'm still here. Filed I-751 in JANUARY 2019, so over 2 years ago. N-400 filed Jan 2020. No movements except for biometrics and shuffling my case from one office to another.

P.S. Btw I'm from Russia too! :)

@KatieL, holy cow January 2019!?  Oh my...  Well, good to know that I am not too far behind you!  Just makes me nervous being that it has been so long, you know?  Obviously COVID didn't help matters any.  Good luck with everything, just need to stay positive.  I understand the feeling. 😉

Oh, I see it alright..lol.  I requested an info pass appointment as well this past week.  Our extension letter expires end of this month.  I also sent a letter to the state senator as well.  Maybe it will help or maybe it won't, but I figured it wouldn't hurt.🙂

Just wanted to give a quick update on my husbands case in case there are similar timelines still out there waiting. My husband and I filed our I-751 in 2017 and N400 in 2018. Our I-751 application went directly to the California office but was eventually transferred to MSC due to a large back log we got caught in. We never had any issues with paperwork in our I-751 or N-400, seems like we just got caught in so many government shut downs and backlogs and our papers got put in some pile out of site. I am happy to announce though, as of 3/2/2021, we are officially done with this ####### storm! My husband had his combined N400/I-751 interview and got approved! Here’s some hope to all those waiting extra long amounts of time for your case to advance...it does come to an end eventually!
