I really do not know.  All I know is what is on this forum and the google doc.  It is just my theory.

Exactly, all we can do right now is theorize as there is just no offical word at all from USCIS about why our cases are at NBC, which isn't even considered a "processing center" according to their own definition.

Check the Dec 2018 thread one from Nebraska center is cr1 and also got ready for interview. I think it's more about the cr1 than what is the center

Yes, apparently the NBC is just a "holding center" for other types of processes, so it really does appear that our cases may just remain then until called for interview. 

 

Was the guy in the December 2018 thread's case forwarded to his local office?

Interesting...do we know if the local offices schedule the interview? Is it just kind of a waiting game similar to where the NVC schedules interviews at the Embassy?

hello, im another one having case with MSC199, my NOA was received at end of january. Just checked my case , it turns to "Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview". it looks like that location is super fast and also you will get an interview letter.

I just wonder how much between" ready to be scheduled for interview" and actual interview date gonna be. 

I guess totally depends on your local office .

New to this forum. Came to US with CR-1, filed I-751 Jan 2019. My application also being processed by MSC:

 

TimeLine:
Sent package 11th of Jan 2019
USPS delived 14th of Jan 2019
Received text message from USCIS 17th of Jan 2019 (MSC199XXXXXX)
Received I-797C Biometric Appointment Letter 1st of Feb 2019
Biometric appointment 13th of Feb 2019
Fingerprint check completed 14 of Feb 2019
Received I-797 Extension Letter 17 of Feb 2019  >>> Had to call USCIS couple times and escalated the case for supervisor since my temp GC expiry date was approaching.
Checked myuscis portal, Case was ready to schedule interview as of 4/17/2019

 

 

It seems to be there is a pattern for CR-1 cases filed abroad forwarded to MCS aka NBC. So far it was pretty fast, now that interview required which is handled by local USCIS offices, my opinion is processing time will vary depending on local office's work load.
