Hi everyone!

I thought to check my case status today and it updated April 3rd to say "My new card is being produced". We haven't had an interview so I was very surprised but super happy to see it! I was pending to apply for n400 but this came before I had the chance to do it. I hope more people get their interview skipped and get their cards soon :)

I-751 filed Oct 2021.

Great news and congrats! Did you ever get the 48 extension letter before they approved your case status?

Wonderful news! I am an August 2021 filer, so I hope for an update soon! Good to read that you hadn’t filed for the N-400 yet, this tells me that there was no trigger to get your case to move more quickly yet. I also haven’t filed for the N-400, so your post gave me hope!

Incredibly jealous of those who received their GCs!  I just received an RFE from USCIS with the following justification:

  Quote

"Your Form I-751 has been received by the USCIS Portland Oregon Field Office for review and adjudication.  As it has been several years since you have submitted this petition, we are requesting updated evidence of your relationship in order to assist in expediting this adjudication.  Please also submit any other updated evidenc that may be pertinent to this petition.....Submit evidence ...from the date of marriage to the present."

After almost 4 years from my original filing date (and all the painstaking care I put into creating a lovely tabbed, indexed, footnoted submission with a table of contents), they're asking me for my original evidence and additional evidence because of their ineptitude and delays...I'm speechless.

We know how frustrating that can be -we filed 3 years ago, received an RFE and right after responding, we were transferred to schedule an interview; since then, nothing-.

I am certain this means they will approve you as soon as they review your updated documents.

April 28th my husband received a notice that his naturalization interview has been scheduled by the USCIS field office in Atlanta for June 8th (N-400 was filed online in August, 2022).  No mention of a combo interview.  His I-751 has been pending at the National Benefits Center, Lee's Summit, Missouri, since May of 2021.  Today he wrote a letter to the USCIS field office in Atlanta, requesting a combo interview, and included a copy of the most recent I-797 from NBC, extending his green card 48 months, and explained in the letter that the I-751 is still pending.  USCIS A number and both receipt numbers were clearly identified in the letter.  We're trying to avoid the situation others have reported, where he goes to the N-400 interview, passes, but then has to wait months and months for the oath ceremony because the I-751 case file is not at the field office, but buried in a pile in an office somewhere in Missouri.  Good luck everyone, hopefully you will soon be done with USCIS for good!

Hello!

I filed my I751 in February 2022. Got my Biometrics done in March 2022. Since then my status is "Fingerprints were taken".

I'm thinking if I should go ahead and file N400. Any thoughts?

My receipt nr. starts with MSC. Anybody here with MSC and still waiting on I751? I also received a couple of months ago my 48 months extension letter.

but then I have to pay again and my I751 payment was for nothing....

What do you mean it was for nothing? You cannot naturalize without approved I-751 which requires payment. You have to pay I-751 fees no matter when you decide to naturalize and pay N-400 fees.

Your sentence makes NO SENSE.

How do I have an approved I751 if I just now said in my previous post - that my case is still PENDING.

Of course I will pay the fee. I751 is still pending.
