Can anyone weigh in? Is it unusual not to move to the "ready to be scheduled for interview" status?

Is your status stucked at 'fingerprints were taken' as well? 

P.S. I got 48 months extension letter today.

I reached out to my congressman’s office last month and they indicated the case was being considered for a waiver but still no updates. It’s crazy how our spouse can live in the states for 5 years and still not hold a 10 year green card. What in the world is happening with this administration!

  • 10-03-2016:  I-797C NOA1 Hardcopy received
  • 02-15-2017:  Case transferred to Texas Service Center
  • 03-16-2017:  NOA2 Approval Date
  • 03-22-2017:  USCIS sent case to NVC, Case Status changed to "We sent your case to the Department of State for visa processing"
  • 03-23-2017:  NOA2 Harcdopy received

  • 07-03-2017:  CASE COMPLETE!!!  Called NVC on July 5 and representative confirmed status
  • 07-11-2017:  Case Complete email confirmation received
  • 07-13-2017:  NVC rep confirmed Interview Date assigned
  • 07-14-2017:  Email confirmation of Interview
  • 07-20-2017:  11 Week (77 day) expected Case Complete from Scan Date (5/4/2017)
  • 07-21-2017:  Appointment with General Practitioner to get all required shots and medical history

  • 08-17-2017:  Visa status changed to Administrative Processing, then several hours later to "Issued"

When you contact congressman, who do you contact? State senator or like representative?

I've said this before, and I'll say it again.  Only around 1% of I-751s are eventually denied.  That statistic should be sufficient justification to eliminate I-751s altogether.  Just give all spousal visa holders and those who adjust status a 10 year Green Card at eliminate all this inefficiency and agony.

August 7, 2022: Wife filed N-400 Online under 5 year rule.

November 10, 2022: Received "Interview is scheduled" letter.

December 12, 2022:  Received email from Dallas office informing me (spouse) to be there for combo interview.

December 14, 2022: Combo Interview for I-751 and N-400 Conducted.

January 26, 2023: Wife's Oath Ceremony completed at the Plano Event Center, Plano, Texas!!!😁

February 6, 2023: Wife's Passport Application submitted in Dallas, Texas.

March 21, 2023:   Wife's Passport Delivered!!!!

May 15, 2023 (about):  Naturalization Certificate returned from Passport agency!!

 

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Exactly. Like with this 48 months extension, CR1 visa holders have like green card for 6 years...

Im wondering too what congressman to contact? My husband has been waiting for an interview since 2019 also. And just got the 48 extension slap in the face today 😂
