BTW, you say both sides are culpable, and to some extent I agree, but there are degrees, and from what I have seen for the past 30 years is that one side has been instrumental is creating a divisive environment primarily through their scheme if identity politics.  It has gotten so bad from this push, that the identity categories created by the Dems have even begun to fight among themselves creating even more decisiveness.

I don't care to get into origins or the history, at this point it really shouldn't matter. It has to cease! That sounds just like when you stop two children from fighting, pulling them apart, and you are trying to sort it out, and each one says (something to the effect), "Nah-uh, I didn't start it he did! He called me an oaf, or, Well, he said my mom wears army boots." (Whatever, you get the drift?) There are just too many things going on in our world, domestic and international, for us and our supposed leaders to be bickering ad nauseam, with the end being stalemate, and certainly immature behavior.  How do you think it makes us look in the eyes of the world. The leaders of the leading country of the free world acting like a bunch snot-nosed, juvenile, ill-mannered children, who couldn't even get along in a playground. What a sad and sorry state of affairs. Additionally, what does this type of behavior, if we condone and encourage it, show our children, the next generation, on how to be polite and tolerant of other people's thoughts and viewpoints, and about conflict resolution?

I doubt other countries are paying too much attention to the internal political bickering in the US. They have far too many issues of their own to deal with. 

 

What concerns me is the embracing of Socialism by a certain group of politicos and the people who support them. All the while Venezuela is imploding on the news before their eyes, France is now entering it's 7th month of protests against high taxes and government overreach and the impending financial failure/deepening financial crisis (.2% GDP "growth") of the EU to mention just a few. 

 

I don't think anyone here is condoning or encouraging this behavior. I know I'm pretty sick of hearing it.

Then there is the Chinese saber-rattling in the South China Sea, Russia's incursion into Ukraine, and then there is the whole hot mess that is Africa..... then there is a rush of folks at our southern border, and don't forget about the new virtual ISIS caliphate......and the hits just keep on coming.  This old tune just seemed appropriate...

With all these things going on in the world that began way before Trump took office, it would have been nice if there wasn’t a two year political witch hunt going on doing everything it could to undermine the credibility of President Trump.  The fact that this political activity of the past two years was fueled by the Democrats along with their media allies and unelected bureaucrats is really telling, and given the attacks by the Left and the media on AG Barr, it seems evident that they are quite concerned that their activities will come back to haunt them.

Again, it is not all parties, it is an AG that is trying to find out what caused a political witch-hunt to be started and perpetrated for almost two years.  That is a good thing as we do not need to see a repeat of the shenanigans from the last administration.  You can simply think of it as sort of a Watergate investigation which is a great analogy to what the Obama administration did to its political opponents.

It should have never started back in December of 2016, but it did.  Now the only way to keep that from happening again is to root out the bad actors as if it is left alone, we are definitely doomed to repeat history.
