They have taken a long time to clear my check

I'm in the same boat here.

Filed for AOS and additional forms on April 12th, via USPS tracking I could see it's delivered on April 16th, I sent it to them with the request to send a delivery receipt back to me that I just got in the mail on May 2nd (signed by the 'USCIS lockbox' stamp so I know they have it) but they STILL didn't cash the check and I have no text confirmation from them. Also no NOA1 yet of course.

I'm reading here with some people it goes really quick kind of makes me feel down... I guess I'll wait till may 12th to call them and ask. What is the number I'd call for this??

For #1 selected "More than one trip." Left everything else in Section 7 blank.

Nothing is required to be attached for AOS filers in Part 7. TPS beneficiaries, DACA beneficiaries (they could before 09/05/2017 but no longer can; the I-131 is outdated regarding DACA since the recent edition is from 12/23/2016), etc can also receive Advance Parole but they need to show USCIS specific circumstances that warrant AP issuance. Those individuals need to attach those things with the I-131 form.

For Part 4, Question 1.a.

AOS filers can also leave this blank. Or you can simply put "To visit my family."

Still no sign of my NOA1, i called up USCIS this morning and they had no record of it and told me to wait til 30 days had passed. I told them that that would be outside of my visa expiry date and they didn't seem too worried, just told me to call Customs and Border Protection and to tell them the situation. I did that and the lady there had no idea what i was on about and was like "why on earth did they send you to us?" Very frustrating. Anybody elses NOA1 take this long??

Yep, ours haven't showed up yet. It's been since April 9th. I am waiting until we hit the 30 day mark, then give them a call.

I think the initial evidence is providing evidence that you're really married and based on that they decided if you need to be interviewed or not.

Not necessarily. A lot of delay has been coming from Chicago lockbox. It happens.

My post was in response to oztousa's RFIE post. My father got a RFIE for stuff he had already included in the I-485 filing:

  1. "Evidence of your lawful admission or parole into the United States."
  2. "Submit a Social Security Administration (SSA) earnings statement or other SSA provided documentation that shows you have worked or can be credited with 40 quaters to support your Form I-864W, Intending Immigrant's Affidavit of Support Exemption."

USCIS misplaced those items when he submitted the I-485 packet.
