Yesterday my wife called USCIS and they told her that since 15 business days had passed since we sent application, they will create a "service request" to look into the package matter and send a request for receipt confirmation to the lockbox office. 

They said the service request takes up to 15 days to be responded to and to call again if we don't get a resolution or hear anything within 15 days (May 15th)

 

Later that night we got 6 text messages from USCIS with 3 MSC confirmation/receipt numbers telling us that they received our application and that we will receive a letter in the mail. 

 

So idk if we finally got confirmation yesterday because of the "service request" we lodged OR was it already going to happen anyway but sharing my experience here with the hopes that it might help someone.🤷‍♀️

I am not sure what options my wife chose but she basically chose the option for people that call without a receipt number OR people that lost their receipt number. You follow that path and select the options for not having a receipt number and it will eventually transfer you to an Agent to speak with. She was not transferred to any Tier 2.

 

Hold Time for her was 35mins. So will need to be patient.

Thank you. I talked to someone last week and had to wait 30 mins too. It's been 22 days since they received our package, status has changed to fingerprint fee received, got the NOAs but no sign of biometric appt or RFE so I don't know if i need to try calling again. USCIS told us to just wait...urg.

I will try to do that tomorrow morning. It's just very frustrating being on the phone with them. It tends to drag on and they aren't helpful most of the time. I will still give it a shot, though.

Yes... calling USCIS is a totally soul sucking activity, our call yesterday was the 3rd time we called them in 8 days.

04/12/2019 - Mailed AOS packet to Chicago via FedEx 

04/16/2019 - Packet received and signed for

04/23/2019 - Three texts received; biometrics fee received; awaiting instruction letters via US mail

04/27/2019 - Three hard copies of I797C (I-485, I-131, I-765) received via US mail

 

Waiting for biometrics letter.

We submitted our AOS packet on 4/19 and it delivered 4/25. What's the next thing we will do to check our status?

They haven't message is thru txt yet. And no mail.

I received their txt message this evening. Finally! Now I can check my status. 

 

My timeline:

4/19 - sent AOS packet

4/25 - AOS packet delivered

5/01 - USCIS received our packet 

         - plus, got the receipt #

I have a submitted date of April 1st and today I've received a notification to say that my case is ready to be scheduled for an interview! 

 

Had my biometrics on the 23rd, as well

 

Is it normal for things to be moving so quickly, or will it slow down now?

Text Msg recd: Apr. 15/19 with NOA date of Apr. 12/19

Bio Appt : May 9

We are CIS Seattle too.

So hopeful that things are possibly moving quickly. Fingers crossed for you!
