Morning everyone! Something unbelievable just happened, I woke up to my status being “ready to schedule an interview “. This is considering timelines are 14-22 months in Sacramento. I filed in December 2018. Can’t believe it....

I’m just curious what is the timeline from here, is it possible I’ll sit with this status for months, or does it usually change to “interview has been scheduled “ pretty quick? Thanks!!!

Congrats.  As to when the interview will actually occur, I think it is usually in the 30 to 60 day timeframe, but of course YMMV.

Unfortunately this status doesn't necessarily mean that you will have your interview soon. I know people who had their interviews a few months after this status update, but others have been in this status for over a year.

I believe some people are mistaking it with “interview was scheduled”

it can take up to any time depending on your field office. This just means you most likely have no problems with your application and in the line for the interview.

for example mine changed about 200 days ago to “ready” and I know my field office takes up to 1.5 years. So this status is just part of the process.

thanks, everyone! shouldn't have kept my hopes up hahah. it was a very happy morning, not so much anymore :D

Hey, at least you know they have your case and someone touched it. And it may also mean that after a first quick check there are no major issues that would require an RFE.

Nice!! Congratulations!!!! 🎉 that makes me feel much better, Baltimore is 9 to 22 months so maybe this means we are skipping the line hahah. When did you apply and when is the interview?

Congrats on the Interview and thanks for the update.  My wife also from Ukraine and also in Baltimore has Noa1 of Jan 11 and a RFE 1-29 and case has been ready to schedule an interview since March 14th.  I am hoping her status changes over to interview scheduled soon.

Ours has said that as well, for several months.  My husband's biometrics appt was 11/30, and he received his EAD/AP combo card two weeks ago.

Unfortunately for us, our FO (Seattle) is taking something like 13-23 months for GC interviews.  So, we are not expecting a change from "Interview is ready to be scheduled" for at least a year.  The queue is simply that long.

Hopefully, yours will be done sooner!

Keep thinking positive. If you was approved this fast an interview should not be long.

While it is accurate information that "Ready to be Scheduled" does not necessarily indicate an interview will be scheduled very soon, it's STILL a good sign! It means your case was received, touched, and is progressing. I'm not 100% sure, but I feel like it's also a positive indicator of potentially no RFE (though I suppose it could still be possible).

Congrats!

Håll ut, y'all.
