Yeah field offices are very different from service centers. Field offices are the local ones, and to a degree I guess it makes sense if cases are sent there since the people who normally conduct interviews at these offices now need other tasks to do. So now maybe they can make decisions on cases that hopefully won't require interviews? I feel like a lot of things have sped up a lot during Corona, maybe that's why.

I had the same impression a few weeks ago. At that time I was seeing a lot of cases getting approved or RFE’d. Not so much lately. Perhaps they are working in batches on cases—they’ve finished the first round of approvals on that range of cases and moved to the next. Perhaps those were the “easiest” cases or the ones that did not require interviews. Idk

Thanks For the clarification :)  I understand that. I just thought that the USCIS only load transfers cases between the regional centers (unless it is a combo with N400). Also, have anyone of you seen cases in the tracker “disappear?” I remember seeing some cases approved close to my number but today I haven’t seen those. Just wonder what happened to those.

Yes, there used to be approved I-751 cases near me, but now they have disappeared! Now, there are only cases that are not approved yet and cases that have received RFEs. Maybe it's an app bug.

You know what, I feel like I have noticed the same thing now that you mention it. Up until a couple of weeks a go there were a lot of cases around my own receipt number that were approved or RFEd, now I haven't seen a single one since my case was approved on the 15th. It's almost like they got paused. 🤷

That's so odd! I haven't noticed cases disappearing. Like the whole receipt number is not there anymore at all, or? 😮

Case Tracker

I think I know the app you're talking about and I've used it before. It seems that they pull the data directly from USCIS, so it might be something on the USCIS end interestingly enough.

Can you please share the 5-7 digits of your receipt numbers? Like WAC1990???.

I searched on case tracker from WAC1990200xxx-WAC1990203xxx, and I didn’t seem to see a single case approved yet?

Thanks!

I filed fairly late in April, NOA1 date April 24, and receipt number starts with WAC1990225xxx

I’m genuinely curious how some cases got processed/ approved or issued an RFE sooner than the case numbers filed before them.

Like how the system has case-001 stuck at fingerprint, case-050 issued an RFE, and case-100 approved. 🤔

Does anyone know?

It's because cases end up with different officers. One batch of cases end up on a desk with someone who might not work full-time, who might have had the flu for a week, who doesn't work as fast etc. While another batch ends up at a desk with someone who works full-time, works fast etc. Someone on this forum compared it to the lines at the checkout at the grocery store. Even if you get to your line before someone in another line, doesn't automatically mean you'll be checking out before that person. Your line might have some really full carts that slows things down, might have a new worker who doesn't work as fast and so on.

My app shows all cases, already approved ones and non-approved ones. Have no issues with the app at all.

What I meant is that it seems like the processing on cases around my own have stopped. I started seeing updates in mid-March and kept seeing updates almost every day, new approvals, RFEs and a few transfers. Since I got my approval in mid-april I haven't seen any updates at all on any of the cases I'm following. And it's not the app, the website shows the exact same info.
