Hi, I’m traveling abroad in a week and I need to put my passport information on the airline website. But when i put the green card information, it tells me it’s expired (it is, I intend on using the extension letter to come back) and won’t let me continue, but I need to put my passport information before flying. Did you have this problem? Should I put that I don’t have a green card? Or put a fake expiration date?

The airline is not very helpful, they don’t want to risk telling me what to do and have only told me to check the countries regulations but I can’t find any information on my situation.

Thanks.

I would take Lil bear's advice and add the 18 months of the extension letter to the expiration date on your card. That's what the clerk at the airline check-in did with me.

Hi all,

I am glad to find my fellow 2019 April filers! Here are some of my status:

Package sent to AZ lockbox: 04/16/2019

Received: 04/18/2019

NOA received in mail: 04/24/2019 WAC center

Current status: Case was transferred to another office as of 07/23/2019

I did not receive any biometric appointment letter or a waiver. Is there anyone who has a similar timeline? I am a bit confused. We interviewed when we first apply for green card two years ago and it was approved on the spot. Any information would be very much appreciated.

Good luck to all!

Hey! I filed my case on April 16th as well. And my extension letter also came in mail on April 24th. And I haven't heard from them ever since. The last update on uscis web-site is "Case was received". So yes, you're not the only one who haven't gotten a biometrics invitation :)

Hi All,

I filed at the end of April. Just now realizing that i overpaid, will my packet get denied and returned for an overpayment on a check? Also still haven't gotten anything it's been two weeks since packet was delivered.

Did they end up refunding the amount that you overpaid or did you have to send in a new check? Did it delay the setting up of your biometric date?

Hi,

they sent everything back and denied it based on the over payment, I sent everything back to them with a new check and within a week I got notice of acceptance and two weeks after that we got our biometric appointment. Now just waiting .

As of September 4th our status say case ready to be scheduled for interview, does that mean they will schedule an interview in the next few weeks or so or still could be months or a year from now?

Great. My case just got transferred again. Not sure which office yet and the reason of the transfer.

I originally field at CSC and it got transferred to MSC three months later, yet another transfer after two months in MSC. Confusing..

You will be fine with the extension letter and expired GC. You may not be able to use the automatic machine at the boarder.

My case got transferred twice since filed in April and still no nothing about biometrics.

It's not confusing. Cases that get transferred to NBC get transferred because they require an interview. NBC prepares cases for interviews. After NBC they will therefore be transferred to the local field office that will give the interview.

So most likely this newest transfer is your local field office. You're lucky, you might get an interview very soon then.
