Yes it will be rejected and returned to you. They're very strict regarding payment, it has to be the exact amount.

Unfortunately, No. 

If your I 751 is rejected for incorrect amount, you need to send again with correct amount. 

If you can do, you can send new I 751 packages with the same materials and send it with correct amount before you receive 3 weeks. It will be bunch of waste of papers, but if you need the extension letter, it is better to send it than waiting.

No fun, but that’s what I get for rushing to do it at work lol. I think we good green card won’t expire until end of July and it’s almost been three weeks. Thank you for the response

Hello all,  I don't post often, but maybe this will help some people out... looks like they are responding with the NOA pretty quickly (about 2 weeks or less). FYI

 

04/21 - Earliest date eligible to submit i-751

05/01 - Finally submitted

05/06 - USCIS received package

05/10 - Received text from USCIS

05/13 - Received NOA

Probably not. Once you submit everything correctly, then they will give it to you. This happened to us before. Good luck!

I was in the same shoe. My application got rejected due to application received 1 day prior to 90 days window kickoff and took them 3 weeks to send the package. I resent the package again and today I got the confirmation text.

It was returned 3 weeks later because the date on the check was incorrect. So I resent everything a week later. Then I got all the notification of receipt right after.

It's been 3 weeks for us, and no word of my package being returned for early filing before 90 day period window. Nor have we recieved receipt or notification of being accepted. No clue if our cashier check been processed or cashed.
