Are petitioners notified at all when NVC receives the case? or is this done only by calling and finding out the date received? Also, in what way is the petitioner notified when a case number is assigned at NVC? Thanks! :)

How I found out nvc had my case I called when I got my case number they sent an email

NVC doesn't notify when they receive the case. Only when they issue the case number and invoice ID. You only know the case was received when you call and ask.

Anyone get case numbers today? My NOA2 is February 12th and NVC received it March 1st. I know a couple people who got case numbers who’s petitions were received on February 25th. If the pattern continues then I hope for a case number this week!

Got our case number today. Case was received at NVC on Feb 27th, so yours should be in the next few days.

My NOA2 was on February 22nd. I guess I will receive my case number this week or the next hopefully!

I received the case number on April 1 night by email. My I-130 got approved on Feb 22 and NVC received my case on Feb 28. So it took 4 weeks 4 days for me to receive the case number. You should receive yours any time!
