Hello,

Just wanted to find some information on the Mumbai (India) embassy scheduling interview dates. How many days are they taking to schedule the interview after everything is accepted at the NVC stage?

I am still waiting on the case#. My case was received on Mar 8th at the NVC.

Thanks

Hey i can only speak for my case which is CR-1. It’s NVC that schedules it not the embassy. Also, it varies on the amount/load of applicants. Nvc will schedule interview as soon as there is a slot available at your embassy. I hope this helps. Good luck!

Also, try checking Mumbai threads here and see timelines of others who has the same embassy as yours just to have an idea. 🤗

me and my husband are using a lawyer to file all our cr-1 visa stuff. We submitted everything through our lawyer March 18th (all fee's, police certificate, all forms filled and sent to our lawyer) and we were told everything was sent off to NVC the following day (so the 19th). Our lawyers front desk just called me (im the beneficiary, im the one moving to the USA) and asked me where I lived from "2007-2010" because they needed to know because they forgot to input that information from the DS-260.

so...would this mean that they didnt even send everything off to NVC yet if they forgot to input something online for the DS-260 or do you think NVC got it and then asked our lawyer about that "where did I lived from 2007-2010" question?

(im asking because our lawyers office is closed, im impatient to wait until tomorrow to call, and asking my husband this over the phone seems to be confusing for him)

Hi Mika! My husband and I also hired a lawyer which I regret now coz we paid a lot of fees but I still did most of the researching. All they did was sign, upload (which I also editted/resubmitted). When we did our 260, I had to go through all the input she made and I was right! She input a lot of wrong details and missed a lot too!  I believe yours wasnt submitted yet (not 100% sure) because the form wont allow you to skip years. This is based on my experience. Also, I would advice you not to rely on your lawyer for everything. You HAVE TO RECHECK EVERYTHING THEY ARE UPLOADING! I am saying this because it happened to us many times. And I am glad I’m a bit perfectionist lol! I’m just thinking of the fees and time wasted if we commit mistakes again.

Ps. Don’t you have your case number and the invoice number? Try to log in the account. You will have access there and you will see when they uploaded and if things are submitted.

You will need to upload proof of domicle

and no tax return will not proof it.

if you want case completed upload it today.

They  asked me to do send that too and I end up with RFE.

How offended do they changed the date on there?

No idea. I started only yesterday when I found out about this link. So yesterday and today is the same. I guess it’s every week. It happened to our I-130 as well. It came/approved earlier than the date shown on their website. So praying it will be the same again for this one. They did state there tho to allow them up to 3weeks. It’s just been a week for ours. Maybe there are lots of April 1st applicants. 🤗
