someone is still waiting and they submission their own March 15 and today they still  waiting.

third times. wow

Yes. Extremely disheartening. They didn’t explain why exactly the police report was rejected. So we had to guess. And assumed maybe the copy wasn’t clear enough for the NVC. Turns out that wasn’t the problem. It was rejected again with no explanation why. I called and after 80 attempts to get someone on the phone and an hour wait to talk to someone the lady told me that we needed to attach fingerprints to the police report. Why didn’t they just say so in the notification.

Then they rejected my tax return saying they cannot accept mixed documents. So I submitted my W2s and my federal return separately. Only for them to reject it again with the same non specific notification. I called and was told they want the 1040 submitted separately even though the instructions don’t say split your return into separate parts when submitting. Again why didn’t they simple say so the first time they rejected it.

Its a guessing game. Its very sad and hurtful. Not to mention ridiculous.

Yeah I know. It took me 80 phones calls one after another to finally get “the chance to wait.” It doesn’t matter the time of day you call. All hours are bad. Someone said 2PM is best. But what time zone were they referring to? I don’t know. I’ve tried 9AM est, 11AM est, 1PM est, and from 7-9PM est. I’d say the evening hours are worse; you’ll never get through. Don’t bother with email. When they do respond, 2 to 3 weeks later, they do not answer your questions. They just send you a generic reply. Phone calls are best.

Also even if the NVC is the cause of the delay they will not fast tract anything for you.

Have your American spouse or fiancé do a Congressional inquiry AND Senate inquiry. All of us Americans need to put a microscope on the Department of State or nothing will improve.

I hate this part of the process! Yeah I resubmitted my tax transcripts on March 15th as they are no longer accepting tax returns. I was told that by the NVC rep helpline that as a few weeks ago they no longer accept tax returns, only transcripts. I also got the same notification via email. I just hate that they don't tell you that!

This Friday it will be 3 weeks since I resubmitted my transcripts! I am so done with this process!

This process is a patience tester. please lets keep the positivity, because some are still waiting for NOA2 they wish they were in our shoes. Just thinking about them makes me appreciate where i am at the moment. It will soon be over.😊

Yay congrats! I didn’t get any email or anything yet. Will probably wait until Thursday and call them Friday. Was hoping to get a case number this week since my petition got approved so quickly. Hope that my luck didn’t run out.

Interesting. What type of 864 did you use? They told me I can submit my 1040. Plus this still says...

IRS Tax Transcript

NVC strongly recommends the submission of tax transcripts since they typically provide the information necessary for an evaluation of completeness of the Affidavit of Support and result in more efficient processing.  Sponsors may submit copies of tax returns but must comply with the file size limits for electronic uploads to CEAC and could be delayed by requests for additional documentation.

I did called yesterday and I was told they have up to 3 weeks to respond. The rep also said they can't guarantee a response within 3 weeks. It's also on their website:

Please allow up to three-weeks for NVC to review your forms and documents once we receive both the petitioner’s financial documents and the applicant’s civil documents. You must also have paid all required fees and submitted your visa application online. We will not review your file until we have received all of the above items. At that time, we will let you know if there are additional items required or if visa pre-processing is complete. We are currently reviewing documents submitted to us on 19-MAR-2019

Check our nvc.state.gov/status page to ensure you've taken all the steps necessary for NVC to review your case.

I am the sponsor and I filed the I864. The rep over the phone told me that tax returns are no longer accepted. It's so hard what to believe!
