Thanks. My CC is Apr 4 and I’m not sure I’ll get it this month. There was another one from Islamabad yesterday with a CC of Mar 22.

Ours is on April 1. We are in Tunis, Tunisia. I saw that last month people were getting approved into the first couple days of the month for April. So fingers crossed we will hear something this week.

Cc 01 April

PD June 1

I had my interview this morning and I got a preliminary approval pending my submission of a new Police Report. She requested I mail a new Police Report to the embassy and they will look into it and issue my visa.

Is this same as 221G? The paper I was given didn’t state 221G though but it said “you have been approved preliminary pending your submission of documents ”.

Everything seems pretty straightforward but oh boy, the Visa officer grilled the hell out of me lol... Check every entire pictures but surprisingly, didn’t ask for 2018 Tax Transcripts but 2017.

I am hoping the visa issuance wouldn’t take a long time. Anyone received such notice before during he’s or her interview?

I want to know more about this!  I have the same interview date May 16th for my husband.  Im the petitioner!  That would be great if I could accompany him inside.

Thanks,

Lis

I have read a lot of Mumbai consulate reviews and they do allow you to accompany your spouse. Once you get to the final interview window, sometimes the interviewer may allow you to stand there or he/she might even ask you to go and sit while they interview your spouse. But again, yes, they do let you in. Take your passport and stand with your spouse in the queue. I asked my husband to come with me to the interview as well.

The good thing is they approved you. All they want is an updated PC, just like it says on the notice, submit it and you will have the Visa.

Got approved today at Mumbai consulate for my CR1 visa. Just wanted to thank the VJ community for all the help. Will put a thorough review in a day or two on my timeline. Basically took 5-8 minutes. Never looked at any documents i had with me (taxes , w2, transcripts, job letter, pay stubs, proof of all the communication like whatsapp,fb,facetime, call)

The only thing they looked at was a little photo album with our photos of wedding reception and travels. I suppose they judge you with how you respond to the questions and how confident you are.

thank you once again :)

Congratulations. Happy for you.

Can you please tell us which questions they asked ?

Also, I want to know in which language I should choose interview ? English OR Native ?

I heard in Mumbai, it takes longer time in queue for English.

Whats your thought ?
