So I placed an expedite request last Thursday, some of you may have seen the post.  On Tuesday I recieved an email saying they were looking into it and would respond soon.  Today I got a notification in my CEAC profile and an email saying my interview has been cancelled.   My case still says it’s at NVC and never received a notification of an interview being scheduled.

Im guessing it has to do with the expedite request but makes me nervous I screwed something up by making the request and should have just waited.

Wait what? Can you clarify?

You already had an interview date scheduled by NVC. Then you requested expedite through NVC to the UESM. And due to the request your already scheduled interview was cancelled?

That's strange but I don't think I'd automatically assume its because of the expedite request. I've heard of a few ppl at different embassies getting their interviews randomly cancelled then rescheduled.  One of them was due to staffing. Hopefully they contact you soon with a new date. Sorry this happened, it sucks that things like this happen and nobody gets any real answers.

They will probably give you an earlier date than the one originally scheduled to accommodate your expedite request....prayers up for good wishes and good luck

That's right. I was thinking the same thing and I hope that's what happens for @MozambiqueSoninha

I really hope they aren’t full for May!!!

I would check the timelines from the past year (which I’m sure you’ve done) from the embassy. I did that and tbh there are like zero filers from my embassy lol currently I’m the only one waiting I think and obviously there are filers not on VJ, but it still gives a good estimate.  I would be surprised if our embassies were full. Last month and in February, NVC gave dates the 13 and 19. Currently it’s only the 11, so maybe we have time.
