We are still at NVC. We were cc on April 1st. Hoping we are lucky and slide into the interviews for May.

Congratulations!! Nice to hear they are moving along with interviews. We are March 19 (cc) and waiting for NVC to schedule our intreviw in Bucharest.

Does it matter the type of visa you are applying for, for how they schedule their interviews?

Yeah. The non CR1/IR1 take longer to schedule and sometimes get their notices at different times.

Would other IR categories be at different time too? I would think they are given same priorities as Spouces. Curious.. CC 3/11 and 3/15 here.

I don't know exactly. I have just noticed at my embassy and a few others, the EB visa filers or F category get their interview dates at different times than the CR/IR1 category and that they sometimes take a few months to schedule. I am not sure, just noticed the trends.
