I just called NVC and they said they’ll be scheduling May dates through the 16/17th ish of this month and that they’re still scheduling for May all embassies. (No date yet for me tho)

Okay perfect. Thank you so much

can you tell me what exactly should i ask them?

If I can bring it to the interview instead of uploading it? Please let me knw what to ask them, I’ve called them like 5 times in last 4 days but still not satisfied

Firstly, Ask them what is exact meaning of that message from NVC

Tell them you only understood that you need to submit employment letter so you did.

Listen what they say and according to that ask further.

Secondly, Ask them does my total household income is fulfilling requirement or not ?

DO I really need Joint sponsor as per the message ?

Finally,  If yes then Should I upload document on CEAC ? OR bring it to the interview ?

hope this will help. and you get some one who answers all this.

Hello everyone, I've been following this forum and this is the first time I'm writing. I am so disappointed that I'd like to share it here. I feel like nobody else can understand me now. Our case complete is January 29th and on March 22nd, I got the e-mail for the interview that at the consulate, which was April 30th. It was later than we expected but we were still very happy and excited. We got the tickets for the whole family which cost more than $5,000, informed kids' school about the absence and got the medical exam appointment. Today I received an email from the consulate saying " due to unexpected staff shortage, they had cancelled our interview and they will inform us in 4 -5 weeks about a new appointment date". I am so very frustrated and I can't believe how cruel this is! The excuse is horrible! The inconvenience they are causing is so big but they don't even bother to reschedule and ask for us to wait 4- 5 weeks more. As per our lawyer, this is normal, it happens!! Has anyone else experienced something like this? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you!

I called them today, first they read the same message to me and said:

1. Submit employment documents. I replied that I already did but im not sure about the other part that is included in the same message.

2. He said so they asked you to submit employment documents because your income wasn’t meeting the requirement. I replied that me and dad we both make enough to meet the poverty line, then why is it happening. Is that income not enough. He said no, that not the case because nvc didn’t take into account your dad’s income. It only accepted your income.

So i was confused and i said sir but i can not do it all alone, my dad signed the affidavit of support (accepted i864a) to help me meet the requirement so why is it not counted? We did i864a for dad. He said it’s because we want employment proofs, once  we have that, we’ll update the status weather u need the additional sponsor or not.

3. He kinda gave me a hint that its better i don't submit additional sponsor until case complete. Like he was tryna help me. Honestly the best representative so far. But since I was confused, i went like how would I know that nvc is gonna count my dads income after employment docs are accepted. Should I call? He said most likely we’ll update u, but u can call.

I said im not sure why it says I dont meet requirement, to which he replied “its just a way nvc says it” you dont have to submit an additional sponsor. U can if u would like to. U dont have to.

4. Then I asked him what happens if I submit an additional affidavit of support i864, will nvc review it or will they review it at interview? He said no, if u send it right now we’ll review it, but once u are in line for interview date, then it will be “submitted” only and its for CO to view at interview date.

5. I asked what if I dont submit additional i864 form online and what it I just bring it in hand on interview day. He cut me off and said no dont do that, if u bring it to the interview they wont review it. For them to review it, you have to submit it online before interview. It doesnt matter if u submit it after getting interview letter or before. If you do it before, nvc will review it and so will counselor , if you do it after only CO will review it.

Hopes tight. Everything is accepted on my ceac except my employment docs which I submitted april 1st. Im hoping a CC on Tuesday. Pray for me guys.

Let me know if u have any other questions u can think I can ask about this case. I’ll call them again tomorrow to confirm about this income requirement.
