Perfect, thats what I was thinking too

Should I worry about them saying I dont meet the poverty line?

cuz i know i do. But since nvc said the decision will be made at interview im really worried

I have seen this a lot. Typically if you are below, they ask for another sponsor at the interview so if you could prep for that and have it ready at interview, you would be totally fine.  Do you have a back-up sponsor you could use in case they want that?

If i add mine and dad’s annual income

it becomes $50000+

and household size is 5 including my husband

poverty line for 5 people is $37000.

but they sent this message that we’re not financially eligible and counselor will make a decision at time of interview.

I asked a lot of people they told me to just ignore it. But what do u think? Should i add another joint sponsor? Other thn my dad (household member).

I would refrain from adding more to CEAC and just bring another sponsor's 864 and tax stuff to the interview if you feel worried. The more you add to CEAC, the higher chance it could probably delay you. If NVC plans to accept as is and give you CC, I would not add more to CEAC.

As @KJ2 said, DO NOT Add more to CEAC.  It will delay your process.

just bring one more sponsor with I-864 and all earlier mentioned docs.

Submit your current employment letter as requested. You'll be fine.

Yes I do have a back up joint sponsor. I have started getting the papers ready for interview.

Fingers crossed.

Can you please clarify? We received a case complete email on March 22nd and also a email with a note to add a joint sponsor or otherwise it’s up to consular Officer’s Discretion (since we are using assets basically). We uploaded a joint sponsor on April 1st, still just showing submitted. Does this mean our case complete is not valid?

it will take 2-3 weeks to get response regarding joint sponsor.

Maybe you'll get both email regarding joint sponsor & interview date at same time.

In my opinion, your case is complete. just they have mentioned that if you'll add sponsor then it will be easy for you.

The only way to know for sure is to call and ask NVC.

Theyll tell you if you’re in line for an interview. Sorry this is underlined I don’t know why lol

I received case complete from NVC and another message saying we did not meet income requirements and to submit a joint sponsor to avoid delay and the CO will decide at the time of interview.  We decided to use a combination of income and assets, as I (the beneficiary) have enough assets to make up the difference (which I believe is 3 times the difference). We don't have a joint sponsor.  I called NVC and he said to bring along a new I-864 form and include my assets on the form and to bring along bank statements as evidence to the interview and the CO will decide at the time of interview but he did say if you have a joint sponsor then you must submit it through CEAC. I would ring NVC to clarify.

We are more or less in the same situation. I qualified on my own with 42k and a family of 4. I have my adult child’s income which totals close to 20k but it isnt traditional income.

My attorney advised me NOT to use the non traditional income(ssi and adult support from his other parent)   I was thinking about filling the I-864A contract from my son to use his income

but the nvc says my 42k isn’t enough for a family of 4. 🤔 even itnis clear that it is!

im going to leave it to the eyes of the consular. I think it’s really clear!

not using the i864A

U will hear by next week. For me it usually takes two weeks for them to answer.

Did u also submit employment documents? They asked me to submit mine. I only submitted employment.

what was ur total income? Do y think u were under poverty line? Cuz i dont think i am. Im over it.
