My wife along with her parents sponsored me and filled i-864 and i-864A respectively. My CC is 3/15. I want to know that do i need sponsors original transcript to show in embassy at the time of interview or any other paperwork so that i can ask my wife and inlaws to send me.

Yes - original transcripts

Yes - any other paper work

You are required to bring originals of your civic documents plus copies, and financial documents to the interview. The CO may or may not look at them (or some of them) but you must take them along in case they decide to look at them.

Read Step 3: Gather Documents Required for the Interview:

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/interview/interview-prepare.html

Required Documents:

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/interview/interview-prepare/required-documents.html

Also, there could be embassy specific items to bring. Check Pakistan below:

Hi guys,

I dont make enough to meet the financial  requirement to sponsor my husband, so my dad is helping me in reaching the financial requirements. I am the sponsor and my dad is the joint sponsor. So what form will i submit for me and what form will i submit for my dad.

I submitted i864 for myself (sponsor/petitioner) and i864a for my dad (joint Sponsor).

Do i also have to submit i864 for my dad too? Along with i864a.

I really need your help here, very lost on this.

Do you live together?

If so, you will submit I864 and your dad I864a as 'household member'.

If not, you will both submit I864 each as 'joint sponsor'.

Include tax info, most recent pay stub, birth certificate, and driver's license for your dad.

Hi,

1) are you living with your Dad on same address? if yes, you can add him as your household member. for that you need to fill I-864a form.

2) if not then, you need to add him as Joint sponsor. for that you need to fill I-864 form.

He lives at the same address as me. So we filled i864a for him.

Do we also dill i864 for him?

 No, only I-864a for him.

you should have mentioned his income on your's (petitioner's) form I-864.

Also, as @KJ2  mentioned, upload his recent tax return transcript, W2s,  US citizenship/Green card proof and driving license for supporting documents.

Hi dear @nastra30

Just wondering, regarding this.

  • Family-based visa applications

- A signed Affidavit of Support from your petitioner and any additional financial sponsors who submitted a Form I-864 on behalf of your visa application.  Applicants may bring photocopies and scanned versions of signed Forms I-864 and associated documents. (Please note that the form must still be signed; typed names and electronic signatures will not be accepted.)

as I highlighted, Photocopies of financial documents shouldn't be fine ?

I do have joint sponsor and as W2 and transcripts have their personal information, they might not send me originals.

I think you can bring copies.  Original documents must include the police certificate, birth certificate, and marriage certificate (I believe) of the beneficiary.  I plan to bring copies only of tax documents, etc. Should be fine.
