No I don't think that was the case with the person I saw on timelines. I just wasn't sure if I had missed the boat for my embassy's May scheduling or if it's possible that they could schedule me next week.  My case complete was first, but I guess it doesn't matter.

It's a combination of case complete date and Priority date. Once cases are ready for interview, they are sorted by PD and interviews are setup.

If someone has a much earlier PD, their interview is setup first. Atleast as per the visa rules.

I see.

I know of a petitioner where the lawyer filed a lawsuit, specifically an APA claim, against the US government because the petition was stuck in “administrative processing” for more than 6 months.

The case was immediately processed and the person got the visa.

See, the fact that someone can sue and jolt their case out of AP shortly after just shows that they purposely put certain cases into a long AP, probably hoping the applicant will just give up or hoping they will destroy relationships by making people wait an indeterminate amount of time to be together. That is just awful.

Thus makes sense thank you. I thought that the computer system scheduled interviews basically so I was discouraged when I didn’t get an email yesterday as well. Do you think it’s possible I’ll be scheduled another Day?

Looking into scheduled interviews this last week, all those members had PD as 2017 so looks like last week they were working on 2017 cases and will start working on 2018 as pd cases this week.

Hi guys,

I dont make enough to meet the financial  requirement to sponsor my husband, so my dad is helping me in reaching the financial requirements. I am the sponsor and my dad is the joint sponsor. So what form will i submit for me and what form will i submit for my dad.

I submitted i864 for myself (sponsor/petitioner) and i864a for my dad (joint Sponsor).

Do i also have to submit i864 for my dad too? Along with i864a.

I really need your help here, very lost on this.

I was case complete / documentary qualified within 5-10 days after submitting all documentation. I'm pretty sure you'll receive notification soon.

Hi,

1) are you living with your Dad on same address? if yes, you can add him as your household member. for that you need to fill I-864a form.

2) if not then, you need to add him as Joint sponsor. for that you need to fill I-864 form.
