first of all, congrats on Interview date, now hurry up, you have only two weeks, you need to finish medical asap for which you need interview letter. call up nvc again and give them a different email address, create a gmail address if you haven't already, normally gmail has been pretty reliable for me for emails from nvc.

i got nvc email in the past at hotmail. how long should i do medical checkup the latest? a week May 7?

will call again tomorrow, an hour + wait

It depends on how long the Medical Doctor needs before completing/releasing  Medical reports.

Do you have any idea how long in your area/region/country (wherever the doctor is) consider also the travel time for you to pick up and or delivery from them to you or to the embassy. It all depends. In some countries, medical doctors sends the result to embassy. For where I am, they need at least 10 days to complete tHe report and I can have it delivered to my home or I can pick it up.
