Is it necessary for the physical letter to arrive with the NoA 1 or with only the text message on the cell phone is enough?

I believe they do sent out a hard copy as well.

I actually never got a text message. Just got the NOA1 in the mail with no text/email update.

Most receive a hardcopy by mail for the NOA1. If received by text message that is OK also. Since the NOA1 is not used for any step other than to inform you that they have received your application, I see no need to worry if you have a copy at all.

Well April is just about over, how does it feel to have the first month under your belts? I bet it feels great right? Hang in there all, time is flying by!!!!!

Going so fast, but still feels like too long to go! That said, USCIS still seem to be processing quickly! Hope they keep up this pace.

Hello! We filed on April 19, got a text on April 24, and got the NOA1 in the mail on April 29. We never got an email. Just worries me a bit since he will be out of the country for a few months and it might be a problem if there are urgent concerns that we won't be notified about. I hope everyone's journeys go well!

Hi,

I have read that if your partner (the sponsor) has a previous marriage that this can slow down the processing when the application is being reviewed. Has anyone else read this or know anything about it?

thanks, Team April!

It's  possible  yes  that it could slow it a bit but you just never know.

Ah, thanks for the info. What is typically the reason for slowing up the process, do you know? The previous marriage was (over) 20 years ago, and we have of course, submitted all the divorce papers as evidence.

Im not for sure but they want to make sure the marriage  is terminated legally. The background check might be a little  longer to conduct. Regardless  of the divorce decree.
