Why not phase a question and then some of the experts will step in and give you the "real" answer whereas you are asking an audience that resembles your plight. Just saying.

I guess a more specific question would be has anyone used a sponsor with a criminal background? Do they look into that or is it just their financial records that you supply they look into

They are only interested in the financials from the cosponsor.

Congratulations to those who get NOA2 and good luck to the rest of us.

I have a doubt, does the estimate for adjudication on VJ refers to the date for the NOA2 or the approval at NVC? I cannot find any information about this.

The estimate is for NOA2.

Someone please correct me if I’m wrong, but I think that the NVC doesn’t approve anything. They are just basically a middle-man between USCIS and the US embassies/consulates around the world. The NVC is just forwarding the approved I-129f petitions to the beneficiary countries.

When NVC receives the approved 129f from USCIS, They check to ensure that it’s been stamped. Occasionally NVC will receive a petition from USCIS and it does not have the appropriate approval stamp in the upper left-hand corner. NVC is also checking to make sure that the three criminal questions have been answered. NVC noted that there are times when the petitioner will forget to complete those questions and those questions are subsequently missed by the adjudicator.  In both of these instances the case will then be sent back to USCIS. If one of these things occur NVC would know within the first week of receiving the case.

Hi. First of all your in the wrong thread as this is for K-1's. You can stick around and read but not many here will be able to answer your questions. Here is where you want to be https://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/134-ir-1-cr-1-spouse-visa-case-filing-and-progress-reports/

Second, It's based on your NOA1 and how long others are receiving their NOA2. Using those two dates, the adjudication timeline can be posted to let you know what you may expect. VJ is only a guesstimation and their isn't any one with any certainty can tell you when you will get yours.

We got an RFE on 19th of July and sent response back on 27th. The online case status didn't update but has updated today saying an RFE was sent on August 5th. Is this a second RFE or is it a delayed update on the first? Anxious as we put so much evidence in our first RFE reply have no idea what a second one could be for .

May I ask what the RFEs are for?

What is USCIS asking from you?

Proof of meeting in past 2 years. Apparently photos together and hotel receipts/travel itineraries of us in the same place is not sufficient so we've sent in affadavits, passport stamps, more photos with me and her family and her, bank statements proving we were in the same place at the same time (I.e. splitting bills) so it's not the RFE response I'm worried about.
