Your case is moving to another office within the USCIS  system for further adjudication.  We can't say why because do not have access to the letter they are sending you. Sit tight you'll know soon.

What would be circumstances or the reason to transfer our case?

The USCIS periodically shifts designated case types between service centers to more evenly distribute workloads. The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has created a webpage exclusively for informing the public about workload-related case transfers. The online resource makes it easier for stakeholders to stay informed about any such file movements.

USCIS Workload Transfer Webpage

The USCIS has five service centers that are responsible for processing designated types of immigration applications and petitions. From time to time, the caseload demands among the service centers need to be adjusted to achieve proper balance. When this occurs, the USCIS may choose to redistribute certain case types from one service center to another. A dedicated webpage has been established to serve as a central location for announcements of USCIS workload transfers and to provide general information explaining the need for these transfers.

Case-Related Communications to New Location

When the USCIS transfers a case, the petitioner or applicant is sent a transfer notice indicating the file’s new location. The case receipt number does not change. From that time, any communications sent to the USCIS regarding the case should be directed to the new service center location.

Filing Address for New Cases Not Impacted by Workload Transfers

Case transfers do not affect the requirements for where to file a new case. Applications and petitions must continue to be filed at the standard addresses as designated, which vary based on the case type and related factors.

Conclusion

Transfers for the purpose of balancing service center workload are generally no cause for alarm, but still lead many to incorrectly assume that this signifies a problem with the transferred cases. This centralized workload transfer website should help to allay many such fears.

@Genesisfan

When you respond to a posting and the posting you are quoting contains a graphic, there is a very good chance that we have seen the graphic from the original post so repeating it only takes up a lot of space. So here is the tip. Use the quote and when it populates for you to respond just click on the graphic and hit your back button or the delete key and only the highlighted graphic will disappear. The text will remain for your use. This makes for a cleaner thread and one that is easier to navigate and read. Thanks.

I'll give you two more tips when using VJ. When you respond to a post just use the "Quote" at the end of the post. That will populate to a new window where below the quote and outside the quoted text you can type your message. That way the individual knows that you have answered/have a question concerning their topic.

If you just want to post something to an individual without a quote then use the "@" sign then begin typing, in the box at the end of the page, you should see it populate to a little window that you can choose their nik. Good luck and I hope this helps navigate the thread and posts in a much easier way.

There is a box on the very bottom that says "reply to this topic" where you can start your post to someone using the "@" sign without quoting a topic.

I hope this helps you.

Well! Turns out posting on this forum may be good luck after all because the website just updated and our petition was approved yesterday (i.e., when I posted complaining about waiting haha)!  Nothing in the mail yet but good luck to everyone still waiting! I really appreciated the support :)

Awesome! 4/29 waiting patiently...trying to at least. Lol

Congratulations to everyone who got their NOA2! We got an RFE and they are asking us to provide affidavits from friends and family who can attest that we did meet within two years of submission of our packet. Just want to ask if these affidavits will be accepted if they were notarized in the beneficiary's country or if they need to be notarized in the US.
