Update:

Opened the letter and it was an approval! 

NOA1 - 04/22 received date, NOA1 04/25

NOA 2 - 07/18 approval date received 07/22!

 

 

My poor Fiance stayed awake until 4am his time so I could open the letter while on video call with him since I was a nervous mess! 

We are all super super excited!

 

My birthday is 5 days away and I have to say this is the best early birthday gift one could ask for! My Fiance tried to use the NOA2 as a means of not having to buy me a present   Told him nice try, but he's not getting out of getting me a gift!  

 

Going to be a busy rest of the year for me! 

Birthday in 5 days. Graduation from nursing school in 25 days, and my last official countdown will be for my trip to bring back my Fiance with me!

Are there any known reasons for some NOA2 to take longer than others? Our NOA1 date was 04/03/19 and seeing all these petitions from late April or even May get approved makes me really nervous..

Every case is different. That's the answer. Now here is what takes behind the scenes that you are not aware of and you can see in detail what is checked. Since everyone is different and comes from different backgrounds, different countries, and will interview at different embassies you will always transition from one stage to another differently the others.

 

 

As part of its benefits adjudication process and as required by law, the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) conducts background checks on petitioners and applicants who seek certain immigration benefits. These background checks consist of four separate checks against systems within Department of Justice (DOJ), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). In order to facilitate the collection and transmission of information necessary to complete background check processes, USCIS maintains five information technology electronic systems: the Fingerprint Masthead Notification System (FMNS), the Customer Identity Capture System (CICS), the FD-258 Tracking System - Mainframe (FD-258 MF), the Benefits Biometrics Support System (BBSS), and the Interagency Border Inspection System (IBIS) Manifest. USCIS is conducting this privacy impact assessment (PIA) because FMNS, CICS, FD-258 MF, BBSS, and IBIS Manifest collect, use, and share personally identifiable information (PII). This PIA replaces the previously published USCIS PIA for the "Background Check Service (BCS)" which describes planned background check-related systems that were never implemented. Upon publication of this PIA, the BCS PIA will be retired.

I am so happy! My fiance called me today to say we were approved on the 18th, but he got the mail today!

NOA 1 -APRIL 18

No updates from both old and new site but USPS informed delivery says we have a mail from USCIS today, hopefully it's the NOA2🙇

If the envelope looks like this it's the NOA2. It will not have the NOA2 in red, that was added by me so don't be confused.

Yes,  it only shows the name and address on left side ,the scanned picture didn't show the upper part like the date ,just the name... Ohhhh thank you @Greenbaum

Got NOA2 via mail today(NOA 1 April 18)😍😍still no updates from the old and new sites.  Cheer up guys even it's NOA 2 or an RFE we should be thankful, it means our application is moving and a lot faster compared to the data shown last year. Good luck everyone.
