You’re experiencing the same thing that everyone else going though an immigration journey experiences.  There is a wait.  It is long.

No one is forcing you to be separated. You can all live together in Ghana also, or somewhere also, not only US.

It is a slow process.  If USCIS thinks it's too slow, they routinely transfer cases from service center to another to balance the workload............remember, there are usually more than a million I-130s in the queue all the time........

"The US immigration process requires a great deal of knowledge, planning, time, patience, and a significant amount of money.  It is quite a journey!"

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

No, every case must be looked at and reviewed with human eyes......it takes time.

Contact your congressional delegation about putting pressure to get the cases processed faster.  Probably will require higher fees to clear the backlog since immigration is self funded.

If you had been long enough in Ghana you could have filed the DCF route.

Op, In addition to the volume of immigration cases that passes through USCIS, you'll be surprised how many are also fraudulent cases to skirt the system. That's why USCIS takes their time with background checks. The waiting is part of the game. That's the nature of the beast called US immigration. And couples don't necessarily have to live in the US; if living together right now is desired in your relationship perhaps petitioner can move to your end instead. Hope you get approved soon.

Since you have been through this process before (all the way to interview), you are well aware that nothing about this is quick.

Most importantly, have you fixed what caused you to be denied last time? Simply re-filing without fixing the issue will lead to the same result again.

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

Now a US citizen!
