I've seen some posts on here stating that you can tell the Embassy, after the interview, where to send the visa. My wife lives in Masbate (very rural province) and if we had the option to have the visa delivered to a hotel or friends house in Manila, we may get it much quicker. Anyone have any information on this or know if this is true for the Philippines? Thanks.

Normally the average time is 5 days. But with me, it's my fifth day today and no news yet. My husband will call the embassy or the Dept of State on Monday.

Yes you can have the visa delivered to any address in Manila. Quicker than Masbate's address. It says in Delbros: 1-2 days inside Metro Manila. 3-4 days to key cities in the Philippines. 5-10 days to regional addresses.

our visa was delivered in 5 days after our interview and we live in Dipolog (a city in northwestern tip of Mindanao island). if your wife has relatives/friends in Manila, why not just stay there for a week or so until the visa is delivered. at least you can be sure you get it. you never know what will happen to it when someone else has it.

good luck!

It been almost 6 weeks and no visa for my sweetie yet. I just got back from my trip to Cagayan and I was very disapointed to have to leave my sweetie again because her visa is coming slow. This has been our story the whole way through this process! If there was a way for somthing to take longer then it should.....It WOULD! Good luck and I hope yours comes very quickly.
