Girls, can I ask please. Can you have your medical even you have your period? 😬😓

Hey !

I would ask too because I had to pee in a pot so I don;t know if it is recommended when you have your period.

Kind regards, :)

@Greenbaum, hello! I need your help please. I have a question..

May First Name has a (-) however, my letter from NVC has no (-). I also tried to filled out my DS-160 and filled out an appointment for interview. Everytime I put my correct name with (-) system dont want to proceed and it says "no special character".

All my documents like NBI, BC, Police Clearance, Passport : My name has a (-).

What I did is I removed (-) on my first name to proceed my DS-160 and interview appointment. I am thinking if I might have a problem in the future. 😢😢😢

Thank you @Greenbaum

Special charecters create problems with the form. Missing (-) is not a big deal. It doesn't count now so no strikes against you.

Fiance had her interview on the 11th, was approved, and got her Visa delivered Monday the 17th.  Today we just arrived back in the US :)

This website has been an immense help.  I hope everyone is as lucky as we have been!

Add one more to the approved list! Fiance went in today in Tokyo and got approved. I go out there late this week, so hopefully by the time I show up she'll have her passport back with her visa!

Have you considered the process times from others as you may havw an extended wait.

Most embassies will state: You are advised not to make any travel arrangements, not to dispose of your property or give up your job until the visa has been issued to you. The maximum validity of an fiancé(e) visa is six (6) months from the date of issuance. You must travel to the United States within that 6-month period. Please do not request an interview unless you have definite plans to move to the United States within six (6) months.

Just keeping it real.

100% have it planned out. I said I'm going to Tokyo, I'm the sponsor so I'm free to go as I please 😜

This is just another visit to get more of her things, going away parties, engagement pictures and spend more time with her friends. She's not buying tickets until the visa is in hand. Even then, we're not ready for her to move here until late August, so unless for some reason the visa sits in AP for months (which from what I can tell, is rare in Japan, especially for a "simple" case like ours) we should be fine.
