Im not your embassy but i just made your life easier. Use the information to prepare for your interview.  Also check your spam folder as its been known that embassy email can land there.

 

Keep in mind that a forum like this one is for initial bonding with others who are along the same timeline as you for initial processing. The initial application is the same no matter where in the world you are. But, having said that, once you get your approval (NOA2 text message or email), you should also check in with your country's sub-forum to get a better understanding of the process for the Embassy that you will be interviewing with, and to get direct answers from those who have completed the steps you are about to at the US Embassy - Ethiopia.
 
Those in this thread, are applying from various Embassies around the world and there are different processes for each. So what works in Russian, Philippines or UAE may not work for those processing through the Ethiopian Embassy. When you are at the VJ sub forum for all things dealing with the US Embassy in Ethiopia most there will help answer your questions for the processing of your visa using their personal experience.

The required documents are included and use the this website as a check list. Once you have completed or gathered the required documents you'll be ready for your interview.

 I was told the same thing...My case was approved on April 23rd, however nvc  did not get it until May 6th and I called  every day.  They finally told me on May 14th that they received it on May 6th even if I called the previous days and was told they didn't receive it yet.   It was then put in AP for an additional two weeks and now it is finally ready to go to the Embassy hopefully in the next run.

Hmmmm, our case was approved April 30th, still no package 3 from Embassy,  it's been a month 🤔

I'm having my medical appointment on Friday 😊

@Greenbaum Thank you so much for the information! Also, just realized I accidentally switched my fiancee's middle and last name. In Ethiopia, middle name is father's name and last name is grandfather's name. How can I correct it, if it's already at the embassy?

Still showing "at NVC"  and my case number was assigned on 5/15/19.  I didn't begin my DS-160 yet nor paid the fee yet.  Do I need to do that before they send the case to embassy?  I wanted to wait till I received by packet 3..

Correct it at the interview. CO should help you with that. Others have had to change information and it hasn't been much of a problem.
