Brazil appointments are scheduled around 4 weeks out and on every Tuesday.

We did pay our fees, schedule our interview and then schedule our medical before receiving packet 3.   Greenbaum suggest for us to NOT do this.    I’m living on the edge and we have all our documentation already ready per Packet 3 instructions that are online for Brazil.    There is a little risk in jumping ahead.

Keep in mind that a NVC status change to Ready does not mean that the case has been received by the Consulate.    Our case is Ready and it is still in the middle of being shipped.   There isnt a cause and effect here.    Follow the DHL hack to see if the Consulate has received by signing for it using the hack.

Our package reached Panama City today on its way to Ecuador by the end of the day, according to DHL!

And I'm going to see my fiancee in Quito one week from today!

Some embassies receive the electronic version before the physical file and the e-version will trip the ready switch. If this is what you have noticed about your file besure not to schedule your interview to close as they require that your physical file be there also before they will except you for your interview.

Yep - the UK embassy website is super helpful. It's all there step by step exactly what they need you to do!

Thank you for that explanation. I was just sitting here wondering "wth!" I thought I had everything down and then got thrown for a loop. I know that DHL hasn't delivered, but case switched to ready.

I think you're missing the point of this discussion.  I've seen it before and i might see it again. Just because it says its ready doesn't mean its ready. 

 

A couple not long ago had everything ready for the interview.  Status showed ready and within a week had everything done except the interview.  They arrived at the embassy for their interview only find out that their physical case had not set their condition to ready but the e-version did. Embassy turned them away. Had to cancel and reschedule.  Just fair warning.

Damn... There's a shipment going to Austria but I have no idea if it's ours. The website still says it's at NVC but I also know there are VERY few people applying from Austria so I'm thinking that it COULD be ours... What a gamble! X3

Good luck. If the status changes at ceac to in transit and the shipment has left then chances are you are on that shipment.
