NOA2 on 11/4/2919

My fiance called today (15/5/2019) and he has got the case number, and the case is being sent to hong kong today 😃

Are you sure it's going today? Have you check CEAC.state.gov and entered in "immigrant" and your case number to see your status? Just because they say I won't bet my money on it being truthful.

In transit to Montreal today!!!

When I tried the DHL hack the other day for the April 30th shipment it showed 4 cases being sent to MTL and the trip there only took 1 day...so if there are any other fellow US/Canadian petitioners in this shipment that gives you a little info.

Thanks for sharing your finding from the DHL hack. AND, thanks for proving that it does work.

The NVC letter I received via email has my middle name spelt with a missing Y; my middle name has been spelt correctly everywhere else on the NOA2, DS-160 etc I assume that the NVC letter won’t cause an issue?

IGNORE. Not a big deal. Move on. Non issue.

No problem. I've found that if I read AND follow instructions/advice, put in a little of my own "heavy lifting"...it really isn't rocket science. 😉

When e-mailing the embassy your packet 3, did you just send a copy of the checklist checked off and signed? Or did you also have to include all documents on the checklist with the email.

Our case was just shipped from the NVC today so we haven't recieved the P3 yet. I do have a copy that I printed off from 2016, I'm not sure if it is the most recent copy...that being said if it is the most recent version you need:

1. Confirmation receipt w/barcode# for the DS-160.

2. Scanned copy of the P-3 checklist.

3. Color-scanned copy of biographical page of applicant's passport.

I looked at your timeline and your case most likely will go out in the shipment at the end of the month. Have you done your police clearance check and do you have your long form birth certificate? Right now concentrate on getting everything together for your interview, you can't e-mail anything for the P-3 stuff for at least a few weeks.

You can't hurry it along at all. You have to wait for P3 which takes 2-4 weeks from Ready. Comply with what they ask for in P3 (the actual one they send you) by sending them a copy of the signed P3 checklist, your DS-160 confirmation and your Passport Bio. Then they send you P4. Then they tell you to register to schedule and you'll wait some more for interviews to open up, which only happens once a month during the last week of the month for two months ahead UNLESS you are lucky and you scoop up a cancellation. Get your medical appointment first so you can schedule the interview shortly afterwards.

For all things dealing with the US Consulate in Canada head on over to the sub-forum for Canada where they will answer your questions for the processing of your visa from their personal experience. Link:

Birth Certificate and Police Certificate information

Here is some additional information. As was stated in the Canadian sub-forum there is an "emergency order" application in Ontario. You need the birth cert that is CERTIFIED COPY OF BIRTH REGISTRATION that has the parents name. You don't want the "parental cert" that is a wallet sized one with parents names but no place of birth, doctors who attended birth etc. The parental one is for parents travelling with kids to prove custody in an easy to use/travel with format. Hope this clears up your question. CALL the registrar and tell them you need to do an emergency application otherwise you will be waiting 15+ weeks. Absolutely the long form is a required LIVE document needed at the interview or you'll get rejected.  I hope this info is helpful and best of luck.

In case you're doing the medical in Vancouver: Dr. Cheema requires you to schedule the interview first in order to book the medical.

I submitted my police clearance yesterday and I have my long form birth certificate already. I was just curious about what to expect is all. I figured it wouldn't be shipped from the NVC until the end of the month too. Thank you for your reply!

@Greenbaum, thank you for posting the links for the Canadian needs again. I have all of that but I've got it printed off for my own reference. You just snap your fingers and there it is. You must be a magician! @StephanieB Greenbaum just gave you all the links you need to make you aware of the exact documents you need for the next few steps.

No problem. Basically you are a couple weeks behind us in the process. Now you wait. Again. I can tell you that as of last week the next available interview date was July 3. I've been following and talking to a gal who's fiance just scheduled his interview. Who knows what, if any spots will be left for July when we get that far...just saying that it will be after July 3rd to give you an estimate.
