Question...   if your case is not Ready to schedule interviews, how do you know there is only two days a month allocated to K1 Interviews?

Your comment makes me wonder how many options I will have at the Rio Brazil location.    From the stats, interviews look to be scheduled about two months after the NVC left date.

The most accurate information for your embassy is found after you pay your interview fee. Once paid you can access the interview calendar and determine what is available and then you'll know your choices. Each embassy schedules differently.

There is a lot of information on the Embassy for Brazil here https://br.usembassy.gov/visas/frequently-asked-questions-non-immigrant-visas/

A thread were a lot of chatter about the process for the Brazil Embassy and interview

Hi Guys,

NOA1 - 12/12/18

NOA2 - 04/04/19

NVC has not received it yet.  I've called past couple of weeks and they tell me it can take up to 6 weeks.  Has there been a case where it has taken more than 6 weeks?  What if they don't receive it within 6 weeks?

Any input will help.

Thanks

Lots of people know when the next shipment is. It's next week on Tues AND Wednesday. We think the cut off is the Wednesday before the shipping date so you may have just made it. Go to the first page, first post and toward the bottom of that post will have information about the shipping.

It takes 4 weeks average to leave USCIS to NVC. It takes NVC 2-4 weeks to assign a number. It can take a week to 3 weeks to get to your embassy. Your mileage may vary.

I called yesterday and the day before. My  NOA2 date is 18/04 and NVC still did not receive our file yet. The lady on the phone seemed surprised yesterday. She also said it can take up to 6 weeks but seemed surprised and said to call as much as I want.

I know they advise us not to resign and stuff but I'm planning to move early August so I'm praying and sending good vibes ! ❤️

So my case was received at the embassy on the 2nd of May, and was updated on that day to say "Ready" on the CEAC tracker.

I just checked today (after my medical exam on the 8th) and it now says updated today, 10th of May, and still showing ready.

Does anyone (Maybe @Greenbaum) have any idea why this could be? I'm sure it's absolutely nothing, I am just curious!

My guess is that the embassy has been "touching" it multiple times through the week and so it keeps getting an update. Mine also got to the embassy on the 6th and had been "touched" (and showed the update on the CEAC website) on both the 8th and 9th. I don't think there's much beyond they are checking the paperwork, preparing the packet, and for your interview.

Or I could be totally wrong.

Absolutely nothing. May the medical results arrived and they were attached to your record. Maybe the CO who is adjudicating your case was in reviewing your case file in anticipation of your interview appointment. Maybe someone is messing with you to cause to ask :bonk: questions. Once you figure it out, let's you and I take a trip to Las Vegas as I feel you are one lucky DUDE!

Thank you for your replies - definitely no vegas trips, though. I am not lucky in casinos.

I'm not lucky either. When I go, I give all my gambling money to the door man and then when I leave I ask him if I had a good time.
