Question...   if your case is not Ready to schedule interviews, how do you know there is only two days a month allocated to K1 Interviews?

Your comment makes me wonder how many options I will have at the Rio Brazil location.    From the stats, interviews look to be scheduled about two months after the NVC left date.

I would say it is individual to the embassy. When I first I looked at the statistics of my embassy on VJ, to me it seems like they are having interview once a month. After calling them and setting up the interview, it seems that my embassy actually offers interview dates every week. I guess it also depends how many people are applying for visas at the embassy (not just K1, but any that requires the interview) and before summer they might be overloaded.

Neither me or my fiance received an email regarding it being ready at the embassy. Last email I received was the NVC telling me my case number and that it was leaving the NVC and heading to the embassy. I've been using the tracker on state.gov to check it's status. https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?

Sorry. I still have question. Did you called NVC for the Case #? Ugh! My NOA2 was April 26 but still no update. 😢

You could just call the NVC at 6033340888 and ask if it's ready, you know. You'll probably need your receipt number, passport, date of birth, and full name at the ready.

I waited until I received an email with the case number. Your case can sit at the NVC for quite a while so just continue to call every few days to check in on it. They will let you know if there's anything you need to do. Don't worry too much :)

The old site shows that it's still at NOA1 for me as well but the new site shows NOA2. I wouldn't worry about it, I'd go off of calls/emails/ceac.state.gov from this point.

USCIS is notorious at the NOA1 and NOA2 stage not to report accurately or not at all. When you receive your case number begin to use ceac.state.gov to track your case status where it becomes more accurate. Use immigrant and your case number. Calling USCIS is not going to move the record along any faster.

Here are the different stages your file at ceac.state.gov will be in. The three stages are 1) transit - shipment is in the air or soon will be, 2) received - physical case file is at the Embassy and 3) ready - your case is ready to schedule and complete your interview.  These will be your current state or status to your case file once you have received the case number.

Thank you. I was so excited to receive the case no., that on the same day I had submitted the DS-160.

CEAC shows case at NVC, with the title page “immigrant visa”.

I called the USCIS, but they were only willing to speak with my fiancée, who is the applicant.

For some reason, the waiting time for the NVC feels slower than that for NOA2 :)

Hopefully by Wednesday something will change.

Btw, will the consulate allow her to join me for the interview?

Why are you calling USCIS? Information for Israel is here at this link. https://photos.state.gov/libraries/jerusalem/1181774/belianaa_001/Packet 3 for K applicants Oct 2015.pdf  This is a copy dated 2015 so there may be a new one out there but of course you can get a copy from the Embassy. If you find the one from the embassy is newer then what I have could you share copy with me?

About the consulate allowing others to join you I would say that is for the Embassy to speak about. I don't have any information about what they allow. Select your flag in your profile on the left column and read any consulate review and look for others that are near you and become friends to buddy up during this process so you can share information.
