Hi! do you happen to have a copy of the p3 letter from the us embassy in uae?

Don't do anything in advance until the case is ready at embassy and the embassy sends you an email to the petitioner to follow these steps for Scheduling interview, Medical exam, police clearance etc.

We also received our case number today.  I called 3 days in a row and spoke to the same lady "Mandy" very nice. Today I waited 7 mins at 12:45pm PST.  I gave her the receipt number and she immediately asked for my name and birth date.  She says....good news and  gave me the case number and asked to verify my email and my fiancee's email and said they will ship to the Embassy and we both will be receiving an email.

I believe our case will go out on the 5/14-15 batches.  Arrive in Bogota by the 17th (mileage may vary).  Im estimating an interview week of June 10th or June 17th.  (again in Greenbaums words "mileage may vary")    One Step Closer.

Hello all. I’ve been on pins and needles waiting to see if my status would change on CEAC. So far nothing, still AT NVC.

But when I used the hack it says there is a shipment going out to Albania...how can I be sure that it is mine? My case number was assigned on the 25th.

There is no verification as to whether your on the shipment or not. CEAC is the tool to use now.

Thanks Greenbaum for all your help. It will probably go out in the 14th, seems too late now for it to update on CEAC now.

Hi! Just got off the phone with NVC and they say they received our case on the 30th of April! I'm going to call them back next week to see about our case number. However, when I asked them if they would send our case within those 8 weeks he said that they don't send it to embassies or consulates? That I would have to follow the steps in the email they send. Did we completely misunderstand each other? Also, I think Sweden is one of those countries where you schedule your own interview, so I've understood it like we (Swedes) don't deal with the NVC much at all. Anyone from Sweden with experience or knowledge on this or anyone at all? :) (I'm also posting this in the Scandinavian thread)

My mother is Swedish making me have some Swede blood, but also Norwegian. So if you don't hold that against me I think I'm partially qualified to answer your question/concerns.

In the next week or two you should receive your case number. If you do then most likely you will be on the next shipment to your embassy on May14.

The agent you spoke to was looking at the fact that your visa is considered a "immigrant" visa (which it is not, but is a non-immigrant visa with immigrant intent) so she is siting the fact that you will receive notification that basically will list immigrant instructions (if DS-260 is reference that's the telltale sign that this is not for you and you are to ignore it). DS-260 people pay their fee to NVC and wait till NVC schedules their interview. DS-160 people that you are will pay their fee according to the instructions in the P3 letter. See below.

First link Embassy instructions and second is medical instructions.

Please only use the links as reference till such time you receive your P3 letter from your embassy. If the P3 from the embassy is a newer version then the one that I am sharing with you could you share a copy so that I can keep my library of P3's up to date. Small way for you to give back to the community.
