I checked ceac tracking today and status changed from "at NVC" to "in transit" how waiting times are changing!!

NOA1   11/28

NOA2    4/1

NVC rec  4/20

NVC number 4/25

In transit 4/30

Does this mean it will be sent to embassy in today's shipment? Also, in the message box says "your interview date was provided to you by the national visa center" but I have not received any

It's sent already.

And that's for CR1/IR1 visas. K1 is listed as non immigrant visa but again on CEAC is treated as immigrant, that's why that note. Doesn't apply to K1

Mine is a couple of days earlier than yours and still says 'At NVC'... hopefully it will be in transit soon.

Yes, I did check and found out thee are 3 similar cases time span and country wise (not same states tho) and it is 80, 84, 94 days.  I am 112th day

You are still within the posted time from USCIS for where they are in approving applications. There isn't anything at this point that you can do or should do. Calling will not move your case as they will tell you that everything is normal and if you don't hear anything call back in 8 weeks speech from them. Patience.

Today is a big day for some as your case file may ship out to your embassy. Check CEAC for updated progress and look for "in transit"!! If that shows you are on your way. Shipments are throughout today and tomorrow so don't get discourage if your record at CEAC has not changed over to "in transit"  Also, for those who want to have a little fun in tracking your shipment see the DHL hack on the first page of this thread NUMBER 19 for instructions. NOTE: The DHL hack information will not be available till Wednesday as the DHL and NVC computers have to be sync with each other to produce the outcome.

You have three stages 1) transit - shipment is in the air or soon will be, 2) received - physical case file is at the Embassy and 3) ready - your case is ready to schedule and complete your interview.  These will be your current state or status to your case file once you have received the case number. Once your record is set to "ready" you are ready to proceed in processing your next steps as listed in your P3 for your embassy.  I have most P3 if you hit me up with a request I will post back the links.

Please don't screenshot and post your CEAC status as it just clutters up the thread. We all know what it looks like. Let us know your progress as we want to celebrate with you. Good luck.

Case numbers are assigned usually 2-5 days from when they receive the case. The first post by @greenbaum details all of this :)

Yup, you're right in that the first post details this information :)

It's been 5 days, still no case number. So we wait.

Hi everyone! I was wondering if it is normal that when I check on the CEAC site for Nonimmigrant Status with my AA number it says no status?

Should I be using immigrant visa form with different information? Thanks for your help.

Fiancé has his medical scheduled!  I feel like I am dropping the ball on something though.  He's filled out the D160, sent over the Affidavit of Support and letter of intent to marry.  The NVC website says there is more to complete but I cannot get to it because I do not have an invoice number?  Where do I get that?

You can call NVC for that information.

The invoice number is irrelevant for K1's. What are you trying to complete that you need the IN for?

Hmmm... the CEAC website wanted me to enter it.  I called NVC and they picked up straight away and gave me the invoice number.  Thanks!
