Thank you! Guess what.. i am still waiting for my fuhrungszeugnis :(( it turned out they completely changed procedure for EU citizens (who are not from Germany) which prolongs everything.. i found out only after calling as they kept silent:( yesterday i sent angry e-mail to them and if no response will call again on Thursday.. ehh...stress everywhere:/

Hey Margo, another EU citizen here, what do you mean by “they completely changed procedure for EU citizens “ ? :( I’m Belgian and there is no recent forum for me. I’m a bit confused by your comment

thanks in advance for your help

Hello! I was talking about getting police certificate from Germany. (I lived there for 8 months) . And now if you are EU citizen who are not German they do not issue it straight away.  If this was you was looking for PM me :)

Here is information on how to obtain a  PC from Germany. I'm not sure if this answers your question. After landing on the page scroll down to police reports.

Hey guys! My fiancee is in Ethiopia and was trying to get his passport. When he went to Ethiopian immigration office, they refused to give him a passport until the entire K1 process was complete. He showed them NOA2 but they said that wasn't sufficient. UGH! So infuriating! He explained to them that we needed a passport number we could apply for DS-160, but it fell on deaf ears. Is there a way to fill out DS-160 if there is my fiancee doesn't have a passport?

Hello Everyone!!!

I was wanted to inform you guys that I have finally received my case number and invoice numbers  assigned yesterday!!

I am so excited !! I can finally visualize our reunion.. I can see it and feel it .

I hope my petition would be sent to soon. Does anyone happen to know the next shipment date ?

Thank you to everyone and especially the moderator. I don't think I could have gine this far without VJ.

I searched around for the Paris sub forum- would anyone happen to find the link or any information in regard to interview, I would greatly appreciate it.

All the best to everyone!

Use your WAC number from your NOA1.

Hi everyone,

I have been calling the NVC and it answers with a message about long wait times and using CAEC if possible in English, then repeats the message in Spanish.. and then it hangs up. Is this how the system is supposed to work or am I missing something?

Thanks in advance!

This comes from the first post in this thread. No one has reported that this hack doesn't work but if you find something different please share it so I can update the instructions. Thanks.

2. Checking on your embassy case number from NVC:

It will take 7 - 10 business days for NVC to receive your file from USCIS after you receive the NOA2, then another 2 - 5 business days for NVC to get your file in their system and produce your case number. Call 7:00 am eastern time for shorter wait times.

1-603-334-0700 or 603-334-0888. Operator assistance is available Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM (Eastern Time) 1 for English, then 7 (or 5, but I would go 7 as they would tell you if you should call 5 instead after they receive your case.)

I have had good luck calling the 0888 number - no more than a 10 minute wait each time I called.  They still haven't assigned our number, but did say they received our file on 4/19

I just called the -0888 number, got through in 6 minutes, and they received our case yesterday (NOA2 was April 2, 2019). Hope everyone else has good luck calling too!

Woohoo! I just called the NVC and they said they received our case today, April 24th. Our NOA2 was April 9th. Still no NVC case number yet, of course. But I'm excited about the progress!!
