You absolutely can. During one of my calls asking if my case had made it to NVC the guy actually told me to call as many times as I would like to check. Not all of them are rude, just ignore the ones that are.

For what it's worth - I called yesterday, we were told that our application arrived at the NVC on Friday 19th April, with an NOA2 date of 04/05/2019.

The lady I spoke to said it can take up to 8 weeks to receive our case number now, but we will call periodically to find out if at all possible.

Hi all,

Do we have to call NVC to obtain our case number or will this arrive via post or email to petitioner/beneficiary? I am not planning on moving until after summer so don’t feel a big rush to get my interview booked until late June/July.

Thanks!

I’m not planning on calling NVC unless I really need to - I want to have my medical at the end of July and my interview at the start of September, so am in no rush for case numbers...so figure there’s no need to call them and add to that call waiting time for others!

The case number will arrive by post (and maybe email too) eventually - and if you’re closer to the date and haven’t had it yet, you could always call them then...

Got our NO2 hard copy and can finally joined the thread! :)  NOA1 12-05-18 , NO2 18-04-19!

According to provided info here will start calling NVC after 5th of May.

Congratulations! Your NOA1 was dated 12th May? I’m so glad the wait is over for you!

Just looked at your timeline - 5th December! That confused me...you’ve written your NOA1 date in the American fashion and your NOA2 in the European fashion 🤪.

Definitely keep calling! I got through to Ivy, who was very nice girl, and very patient with me while being excited and surprised I finally got through, she had to repeat my number 3 times because the part of my brain that contains English stopped working! :D

My fiance called the NVC today (for the first time, didn't seem to be any point until I saw others around our date getting numbers), number was assigned yesterday.  I'm not sure when they actually received it though so I just put down the same date on my timeline 🤷‍♀️.  Here's hoping we ship out with the next batch, but I wont be put off if we don't make it.  More waiting wont hurt :)

If you ask they will tell you when they received  your case.
