Good morning,

My interview went well and I got recommended for approval !

1st the officer asked for green card, then finger print, then took a pic.

Started with civic questions, answered all 6 then writing and reading on the tablet.

Then went through the application n400 to confirm the answers I wrote there, he was just reading and confirming, nothing out of the application.

Nothing was asked for but the green card, even I brought all papers and original documents with me :)

I Checked the online  status on the USCIS website, still not changes !, hopefully all will go smooth and easy and see the update soon.

I hope everyone will hear  good news soon, thank you so much! :)

Wooohooo Congrats Shearar!!! Yaaaay! You are almost done now:-) I'm so happy to hear it went well! Did you have to remember the dates of employment and residences, or did he just read them and have you confirm? Awesome that he didn't even want any papers haha. Big congrats!

Hey @shearar , good morning!! I still haven’t gotten anything 😕 even @madisonchick hasn’t yet and her interview was before mine. My estimated time of completion did go down by a month, from Dec 2019 to Nov 2019, but hopefully it won’t take that long! I’m sure that varies from state to state as well. Congrats on the smooth interview, by the way:)

Hey Blossom! I have been anxiously checking the online schedule for naturalization ceremonies and nothing has updated yet. The last one posted was 8/22. I can't wait! Meanwhile, I have all these workdays that I won't know what to do with in case the date drops. LOL!

Hi everyone. I will be eligible to apply for N400 starting on September 9, but I will be abroad from September 7 to 20. I really want to apply online on September 10 or 11, but not sure if I can access USCIS account from abroad and submit my application from there. If I can, will it be a problem to apply online from abroad? Or you think it’s better I wait until I come back after September 20 and apply while I am in the US? Thanks

Hi Sam90210, I understand your impulse to apply as soon as possible, however my personal (and in no way professional) opinion is just wait until you return to the US. Some people have run into problems with applying too close to their eligibility date so it wouldn't hurt to wait a few days/a week after eligibility to apply. Others have been scheduled for biometrics very shortly after applying, so you wouldn't want to potentially have to reschedule. Plus - if there is even a slight chance that applying while over seas could cause an issue, then why not avoid that all together? You are paying a lot of money, and investing a lot of time in this process, and it would be such a shame to get denied for any kind of technicality. Just my opinion though - I wish you luck in your journey, no matter what your decision ends up being:-)

So, welcome ur newest usc 😁😁.

I was 33 minutes late but , it was ok because there was a lot of people waiting to get registered. Around 9:30am , I registered and received my number ; then had to wait till everyone was registered. At 10:00am we practiced the ceremony before the judge entered the courtroom. Shortly after that , the judge entered the courtroom. They started with the presentation of colors then the invocation and a violinist played the star spangled banner. Then the immigration officer spoke and said how many nationalities and countries were present. Also how many were changing their names. Then the judge ordered all motions and administration of oath. Before it was over a gentleman gave a speech on how he came with nothing to this country 10 years ago , and he’s now a leader in the community and has multiple degrees and restaurants and how we should change our life and serve our community. Then we received our neutralization certificate , took some pictures with the judge and other city members. Then it was over  😁😁

oh, I forgot to mention, we also got registered to vote !
