Do I need to present any kind of proof regarding selective service registration at the N-400 interview? I lived in the US between the ages of 18 and 26 but my status was F-1, non-immigrant international student. I adjusted the status to Green Card holder after the age of 26. To be exact, I was 26 years and 8 months old when I received the green card.

Do I still need to show proof that I was not required to register for selective service?

Thank you

I passed my interview on July 29th, 2019 and am currently scheduled for the Oath ceremony at the end of September. It's been a long road, almost 20 years to get to this point in my life. I just wanted to wish everyone on here good luck and thank you for doing this the right way - legally.

A few details:

I applied for both the green card extension and for the N-400 (April 2019) as soon as I became eligible. When I got my interview notice, it was just for the N-400 application. However, I ended up getting lucky... When I checked in, the office said my wife wasn't needed and she could leave. The main reason I invited my wife to this was because I'd read on some forums that combo interviews could happen. Given that our IO was late, my wife and I were hanging out in the lobby for a bit. After a while, my wife almost left to return to work. The IO swung by 40 minutes later and asked both of us to head back to the interview room. She mentioned she could handle this as a combo interview (I-751 and the N-400) asked us a couple basic questions on how we met, where we met etc. and 15 minutes into it, approved my I-751.

The IO then asked my wife to step out and started the N-400 interview process. A couple civics questions, the reading and writing part, and a few other questions related to my application. It was very smooth, the IO was very cordial. At the end of it all, she had to make a correction to my application to include a traffic violation. She then mentioned she would recommend my application for approval, and I would be scheduled for an oath ceremony whenever it was available. The next day, both websites updated and I'm currently waiting on the Oath ceremony at the end of September. I'm also getting a new green card in the mail which I'm required to return once at the oath ceremony.

Good luck to everyone. This is my first post on here, and I'm not active on here so I might not be great at responding.
