Guys, I just checked my account and still no interview date, BUT estimated completion time went from Jan 2020 to Oct 2019!!! Hopefully this means they are speeding up all over the place:-)

That’s a good thing . Hopefully you hear something soon  🤞🏽

Meet your newest US Citizen :)

So this is a TL of events that took place today, I like details so I am going to try and be as detailed as possible..

- my interview was supposed to be at 8:10am

- got there at 7:55am had to wait 5mins for them to open the doors

- 8:40 am my interviewer called my name

  • I swore in, she asked for my green card
  • she took my fingerprints (left and right index finger)
  • then she made me answer questions from application (full name, DOB, spouse full name, spouse DOB, address, date of marriage, when did you become a permanent resident, places you’ve traveled outside the US ((this made me super nervous because I did not remember the exact dates)), where do you work, places you’ve lived and so on..
  • then she moved on to the yes or no questions from my application (have you ever committed a crime? been a habitual drunkard...)

- Then she started with the test, no warning what so ever, my questions were:

  • what does the president cabinet do
  • who is in charge of the executive branch
  • what is the name of the vice president
  • what is the economic system of the United States
  • who is the commander and chief of the military
  • what did the declaration of independence do?

- read: who was George Washington

- write: Washington was the first president

- then I had to sign the tablet twice saying that everything is true & check that all my information was correct

- she gave me a sheet saying she was recommending me for approval (YAY)

- she then asked if I wanted to be scheduled for the oath ceremony in August or September or I could do it today, I opted to do it today of course!! so she asked me to have a seat in the waiting room by that time it was 8:57am.

9:05 am - while waiting my status changed online to "case was submitted for quality review based on an approval recommendation"

9:20am - I was called to the counter, she took my green card and asked questions about "since your interview have you committed any crimes, got divorced, traveled outside the country and so on..."  the officer was like you haven't done any of these things in the last ten minutes? we both laughed

  •  I completed my oath ceremony, was given my certificate, a mini flag and a package :)  before I got to my car my status changed online to "certificate of naturalization was issued"

All in all I am so happy to be done with this process. Good luck to everyone. If anyone has any questions let me know.

Hello everyone, so update from me. Not as exciting as @JBoogie876 but I was approved on the spot as well. The whole thing was nice and easy enough, nothing different from other interviews. Now I just wait for the letter to inform me about my oath date.

Congrats @NinaG

Did you have many questions to answer.

Good luck for your oath date :)

Checked my account and estimated case completion time changed from March 2020 to February 2020

Does estimated case completion time mean including oath or is that date meant for interview to be scheduled within that timeframe?

based on others experiences its included the oath ( thats the Max expected )

Hi everyone. I just check my account and they said Estimated wait time is 28 days. What does that mean? I don’t even have my interview schedule yet! :(

wait time should be for the next action on your case, and completion time should be when the process (incl. oath) should be all done. The estimates are not very accurate a lot of the time unfortunately, but I hope your 28 days means maximum time before they schedule your interview.
