I went to check on the Estimated case completion time after seeing the latest replys and mine went up 2 months to May 2020 💀

I share your pain. Yours was originally March 2020? Unfortunately we are part of a backlog of 30,000 cases in the Manhattan office. It's an appalling situation .

The painful part is there is nothing we can do about it. We are at the mercy of the field office

I think the estimated times are just made up . Mine still says May 2020(12 months) but I got interview scheduled for June 20, literally after two days I did my bio.

And she just kept saying move your head this way and chin down, she kept saying that, and then suddenly...CLICK! No chance to change it😐crazyface doublechin forever now😅I'll just have to try getting really nice passport pictures when get that far haha...hide the certificate forever😋

Im near sighted n i also took my eyeglass when i had my picture but after she click it she ask me if its  ok n she think it was a good pic so i told her yes its okey... i wish who ever took pic of u showed u if u approved it just like in our bmv they usually show us the pic before they print it to our drivers license

I’m pretty sure pictures are only required if you send in your application from abroad, since you wouldn’t have a biometrics appointment

Mine went from 19 month to 6 Month
However, that was my estimate based on actual cases you can see here
Filter your office and you will see the estimate time of your office based on actual cases history.

Thank you @brien0512, that would have been really nice!  Unfortunately this lady had no nice intentions like that, she just told me "you're done, we will contact you about the next steps, goodbye". She was generally annoyed it seemed like - and was clearly not having a good day. I would have liked to look normal on that picture, or at least semi-presentable, but oh well, I will get over it haha. I hope she cheered up and was nicer to the people coming after me. On a positive note: the security guards, and the reception lady, at that office were super friendly 🙂

So exciting that you got an interview. Did you apply based on the 3 year? or 5 year rule?
