So... tomorrow I’m calling up USCIS to make sure I won’t have to do my biometrics again, because when I log into the DHS website, they say they “reviewed my biometrics and there’s nothing to do at this time”, but when I log into the USCIS site, it looks as though I still haven’t gone in for my appointment, even though they updated it to “we’re actively reviewing your case” shortly after I left my field office, then a couple days after that it went back to the previous status, which reads “my biometrics appointment was scheduled”. Oh, and I just got a second biometrics letter in the mail. I believe it’s just a copy of my previous letter because the appointment is scheduled for the same date and time, 5/17 at 8 a.m.

Has anyone else seen this happen?

You don't have to, but you may if you want. It's a glitch.

Thanks, Chars! I actually just checked my status on USCIS and it's been changed back to "Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS"

Got my biometrics scheduled on May 23, at 8 am. I live about 2 hours away from the center. Do you think I'll have to be there by 8 or as long as it's on the same day, I'll be fine?

I would be there on time. When I went they were sending people who arrived late to a different line to talk to a supervisor to see if they could still do theirs that day.

Thank you. I appreciate your help.

No worries. Take it with a grain of salt since every ASC is different, but I was also not allowed to do an early walk-in a few years ago.

The biometrics letter says that "if you fail to appear as scheduled below or fail to request rescheduling, your application will be considered abandoned", so you should definitely be there on time. I'm not trying to scare you, just letting you know what the letter says, in case you hadn't seen yours yet. You could attempt to do an early walk-in before your scheduled date though:-) Congrats on your biometrics being scheduled - mine are coming up on the 15th.

Hi! My N-400 was received by mail at the Lewisville location on April 29th (monday) and my check has not been cleared yet. Do any of you know how long it takes for the check to get processed and for us to receive the NOA if you file by mail these days?

I applied online (NYC) on 4/18.

I completed my biometrics today 5/7 in Manhattan - was easy and quick, took <30 minutes.

Straight after my estimated case completion time changed from March 2020 to January 2020 - hopefully it stays that way and doesn't go back to March!
