@blossom, this is the reason I have refused to accept USCIS estimated timeline for N400, because it's not accurate. The fellow case just took four (4) months to process. You rarely hear that from Philly's office. I'm stunned!

Chars, thank you for this great resource! I’ve been practicing through the study guide they gave us, but also through the official flash cards, however I noticed that there is an outdated answer in the guide. I believe the question reads “who is the current Speaker of the House?” And it says Paul Ryan, however it’s been Nancy Pelosi since January. I don’t know if we’re all given the same study guide, but I believe mine is from 2017.

The website you provided has all the most up-to-date answers.

Thanks!

@blossom, yes it's very useful. That's what I'm using. Updated.

Short story, walk in this morning for my Bio appt in New Orleans complete, tunes on and heading home.

Long story,  they initially wanted to turn me away and told me I needed to check the box to reschedule and send it in.  When I explained that I would be out of country for my scheduled appt day, and presented my ticket, they said they would try to squeeze me in but it might be in 2 hrs.  I was polite, said whatever they could do would be great and went and sat down.  Within 25 min, they called my name.  5 mins taking the photo and prints, and I was out of there.  Biggest issue..

$10 parking fee, and traffic in New Orleans business district.😊

Hey guys, I have a question. Does anyone know if we have to provide proof of what we put in our application, in addition to what was submitted as "required and optional evidence"? For instance: I put that I have been working for the company I currently work for for a year. Will I have to give evidence to show that is accurate during my interview? Or really all they want to see is what falls under evidence? Thanks.

Don't worry about that. All they need is just work history.

@blossom, have you been working for that company just a year or more?

it's been about a year, but I did give them all my work history for the past five years

@blossom, however, please take all original documents to the interview pertaining to the N400 and you will be just fine.

yeah, I can't think of anything else to add to my evidence folder, I think what's been submitted should be enough (maybe I'll just add a few more recent electric bills, bank acct statements, etc. better safe than sorry)

Just gave everyone a quick update, I walked into the field office this morning to do the biometric collect and my letter schedule on May.17, and I tried to walk in without issue, and wait an about45 minute to collect the fingerprint, after that, I got a book for the test. Hopefully, the process won't take too long.

Hello everyone,

I applied for citizenship under the three year rule on April 09, 2019. I had my biometrics scheduled for May 01,2019 at Greer, SC field office. I had the conditions removed on April 02, 2019. I was eligible to submit N-400 as early as March 12, 2019 but just decided to wait until the 10-year GC is received before jumping into another USCIS journey. The biometric experience was pretty interesting as there was only one other individual before me for the biometrics which was not for citizenship and there was no one else at the office.

In addition, they only scanned four-fingers of right hand. I asked the technician about it and he said since my biometrics appointment letter has code 5. It basically means USCIS already has my fingerprint data and they only need 4-fingers for matching purposes.

That’s interesting, thanks for sharing! I noticed mine was also a code 5 but didn’t think of asking what it meant. I also noticed it was different this time around, as they only did my right hand and not my right thumb. Now it makes sense
