This may sound silly but I haven't gotten my receipt letter or anything in the mail yet (filed on 4/21), and my case status reads:

"My Case was Received and a Receipt Notice was Emailed

On April 21, 2019, we received your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, Receipt Number #, and mailed you a receipt notice. It is being processed at our Integrated Operating Env location. The notice describes how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice(...)". Is that how it always is? I may be a little paranoid at this point...lol. Guess I'll just keep on waiting for that envelope.

Bro

Mine got in the mail after 12 days!
you dont need the mailed one if you filed online, its exactly the one they attached to your profile online, just print it out and go to the USCIS try the walk in

Is anyone else having issues logging in to uscis? I try to log in, then it looks like page is loading, but then it returns to login screen. Sometimes I can successfully login on the second try (and I am typing password and verification code correctly both times). Then if I do get in, I try to click on my receipt notice to read it, and get an error message...I can't open the notice. Is this happening to any of you guys?

I’ll keep an eye out for any updates on the website... right now I still can’t access the biometrics letter. But I may just try what you said and show up early at the office, once I do have the letter. Especially since they may end up scheduling my visit for a day I’m busy.

Thank you

I do have the same issue, but I know it will be fixed with website update. I can't access my N400 snapshot.

Went in for my biometrics today, now the website says expected case completion in 6 months, wait time 6 months. Weird, there was no wait time before, is that supposed to mean wait time to the next step?

I could be wrong, but I think that means until the case is finished. Anyway, congrats on getting your biometrics done - 1 step closer! 😄

Does it say Jan 2021 or 2020? I think it is just a general estimate that will probably change after your biometrics - you can check https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/  for another estimate too. The first number will be for 50% of cases the second is for 93% of cases. There is also a timeline on VJ where you can compare to other filers from your service center area https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/citlist.php?cfl=&op5=5,10,11

No worries! I hope that is not the actual processing time, and I don't think it is. Hopefully those other resources will show you a more accurate estimate. I like the VJ timeline, because you can see exact dates that actions were taken on real cases from your area. All cases are of course different depending on how complex your situation is, but that timeline gives you a better idea for sure. Don't panic, once they review your biometrics I am sure the time will go down:-)

Thanks, I checked out both.  USCIS is saying 10.5 to 19.5 months, the last entry for New Orleans in the VJ spreadsheet has a file date of March 2018, Interview Feb 2019...so 12 months.   Either way, looks like this might be a slow process.

Yeah, it does look like your service center is on the slower side 😕 In any case, 12 months is a whole lot better than 21! Crossing fingers for you 🙂
