Yes! I suggested to my fiance that we should just marry on that day so we always have a holiday and fireworks on our anniversary, but I don't think he's convinced. haha

I think that is a great idea! Who doesn't love fireworks? Plus it will be harder for him to forget your anniversary 😉

 

My best friend moved to Euless which is only about 15 min from DFW. She loves it, a little too much city for me.

My best friend moved to Euless which is only about 15 min from DFW. She loves it, a little too much city for me.

It's a bit too much city for me too. I was born and raised on acreage, so we are hoping to find some property in a small town in the next couple years. 

I am still so elated that this nightmare chapter is over. Dancing on air happy!

Yes, Canada Post paid for the total cost of replacing our passports (Photos, notary fees, passport fees, etc)

that's great... noticed that the only option for delivery is canada post. hopefully your experience won't happen again. crazy canada post...

I just saw this thread and that is terrible. I cannot even imagine the stress of what you went through. When I was going through the K1 process back in 2012, the consulate was using DHS and I had to go to the facility in Markham ON to pick up my passport. Wonder why they switched over to Canada Post?
