I don't get this.

they got it from this statement made:  Move to a no fault state, like Texas, become resident in 6 month, and file for divorce. There is nothing she can do. I know I did.

I don't get this.

You only have to be a resident 6 months and file and it's no fault where she was living more hoops to jump through. So she moved where her green card husband was Texas and month 6 she filed for Divorce.

Suggesting to file in Texas will not speed up anything!

The case I mentioned above is happening in California---the king of the "No-Fault Divorce" states. And still their divorce fight goes on!

And a sharp attorney can stretch out a case based on many things, not just asset division. Say, if one party gets "suicidally depressed" and requires psychiatric treatment and would not be fully functional for court, for example.

What do you mean by "there is nothing she can do"?

"The US immigration process requires a great deal of knowledge, planning, time, patience, and a significant amount of money.  It is quite a journey!"

What was confusing was how the US wife was to benefit by moving to Texas.

I thought the person who was to benefit was the immigrant spouse, who was to benefit by filing divorce in a no fault state.

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

I'm done with my wife. She totally changed after we got married. She's is nasty and we don't really get along. I told her that I wanted a divorce and she told me that she will make my life miserable and fight the divorce. She will make sure the divorce is not final before I apply for removal of condition. So I'll have no divorce decree when I file the i751 and the waiver. My conditional green card expires in April 2020. What can I do? I'm lost and in pain.

What happened to the domestic violence document you were given at the time of your interview?

Cant you follow that and get through with your wife?
