Question:

We have an attorney processing our I-130 application. He filed in early Aug. 2018 and our file was currently at the Potomac Office. When he filed the application he didn't submit a lot of evidence showing bona fide marriage/relationship other than my plane ticket when we got married. Back in early Feb. 2019 we got a letter stating that our file was transferred to the National Benefit Center. It's been over 7 months now and still no response. Wondering if the delay is because he did not submit enough bona fide evidence? Anyone that might have an idea?

Thank you.

I’m the applicant and my wife filing for my i-130 she is in usa and I’m from dubai. I just received an notice that my case has been transferred to the national benefits center. And it says  we have completed a preliminary review of the application. We transfer your case to the following office listed below so an interview for you case can be scheduled.

1.  so do you know what they’re trying to say?

2.   like who’s interview? my interview or my spouse interview?

3.  if there is interview where it can be cz she is in Chicago ?

The interview is for the petitioner before the approval of the I130, the interview should be in the petitioner local office. Usually after the interview and everything is in order then the I130 will be approved and sent to NVC.

 I hope you’re interview go well 🤞

You can hire a lawyer if it makes you feel comfortable but but I must say a lawyer doesn’t make any decision in the approval of the I130. The most important thing is that you should have all important documents to prove your case.
My husband’s interview for the I130 went well as the interviewer said we had enough documents compared to other people. The interview is not stressful, they only ask questions about your marriage so relax and be prepared, it will be fine 🤗

They don’t really ask for a document specifically, they ask for as much documents as possible to prove legitimate marriage.

We had lease agreements we both signed together, furnitures receipts in our names, medical and dental insurance together,  my name is in his large insurance, affidavit from his family and our friends in the US to that testify about our relationship, wedding certificate, wedding pictures and pictures with me and his family and him with my family, flight tickets to show he was always coming to visit me, copies of our chat conversations and more.

They asked us to provide as much evidence as possible prove and we have them more than enough.

Don't worry just put together as much evidence as you can and she can be ready for the interview.

The interview should take place at her local office where she lives, my husband’s interview was at his local office in the US.

HI, We moved to here in the US last year. My daughter's green card took a year and half. She is adopted by us. she is not our biological daughter. My husband is a USC and I am a green card holder.  Hope you will hear something very soon!
