That’s so sad that people are still waiting. Please let me know how everything goes. My husband has already scheduled his medical as well. I leave here in less than two weeks , I’m beyond excited. Hope to hear from you soon.

How was the interview!!?? Hoping for the best!

Sounds like we are getting an RFE letter soon requesting additional information.  Some of the documents they are wanting are:

1. Proof that I was separated 05/2016

2. Copies of our FB messages from 04/2018

3. Certified letter indicating that my current husband was never married, or, if he was married that he is legally divorced

I want to mention that the interview was not that bad and I hope that we get the RFE letter soon so that the files keep moving forward.

Got our RFE letter...  The leter doesnt mentioned anything about what the officer told me at the interview.  The letter is requesting information that I gave to the officer the day of my interview (SMH) minus the affidavits letter which family and friends are already working on.  Says that I have until 02/2020 to respond.

I'm here thinking.  Are they not going to look the evidence any faster if the 02/2020 has not expired?

That IS crazy. Did you talk to your congress ppl?? Ombudsman?? I am really praying for you that someone will push  on your case ASAP.  My daughter's visa was issued last week. so we are finally moving to the US.

Like I said, we ended up applying for B2 visa while we were waiting for I 130 and when we went to the interview for B2, the interviewer at embassy was shocked that we were waiting for I 130 for 14months and they said they would talk to USCIS for us. Even B2 was denied everything went so smooth after that. I am really really praying for you that they would work on your case earlier than 02/2020.  I know your pain, I am praying for you.

They will process your RFE when they get your response. So yes, if you send it 1/20 it will be looked at faster then if you wait until 2/20 to send it. The actual amount of time it takes to review will not change, they will just start looking at it faster- makes sense?

It also seems they decided to do a petitioners interview which is odd. Typically they only do that in cases where there is a criminal history or some other serious issue. Perhaps it was because you sent a minimal packet? I really do not know. It also seems you had some relationship overlap so that could have been part of the reason they decided to interview you as well... Did you do biometrics?

At this point you need to respond to the RFE asap. The sooner they get it the sooner it will be resolved. You should also be aware that Mexico has a backlog for interviews as well so you can expect a long wait for your husband to be scheduled for one. Check out the regional forums to get an idea of how long people are waiting there- but it is a long wait. (sorry)

It’s been 4 service requests, it has passed the 90 days RFE period, 1 expedited request, several emails to Congressman, several calls to uscis tier 2 representatives, have a case in line with the ombudsman to help check what this whole delay is about, I mean I’m completely fed up. I don’t know what the hell is going on, I’m literally crying every day

It's appears it's because they just want to make sure that my marriage is "real".  I have not done biometrics.

I'm scheduled to meet with my attorney next week to discuss further and if we need to gather the information that was said in the interview and not in the letter.

I was hoping my husband would be with me in the US by next year; but it appears I'm looking at 2021 =(..

Hello folks,

My spouse (LPR) applied for my I130 on August 2018 in California Service center (CSC). We moved to Chicago in April 2019, and since my PD became current, applied for my I-485, I-765, and I-131 petitions in June 2019 which went to National Benefits Center. My I-130 also subsequently moved to NBC Center in September 2019. I have not received any update on my I-130 since then. It has been 1.4 years. No updates on my GC EAD (I-765) or Advance parole (i-131) or I-485 either.

Anyone in same boat as me? I checked CSC I-130 processing time and you can raise Service request (SR) if application is before Oct. 21, 2018. But since my I-130 is transferred to NBC, I'm not sure if I can raise SR with CSC? I'm noticing people contacting local congressmen or ombudsman or raising service request with USCIS. Are all these the same? Which of these methods is most efficient to get update on decision from USCIS? Sorry, my post is long but this imminent delay is really frustrating and any advise is appreciated!

Thanks.

We sent our application ( I-130, I-485. I-765, I-131 ) on 2019-10-24 to Chicago USCIS Lockbox and i guess after that it was sent to NBC. I am on H1b work visa( Already in US) and my wife is US Citizen.

Application Sent => 2019-10-24

NOA -1 => 2019-11-07

Bio-metrics => 2019-11-25

Current Status -

Case Was Updated To Show Fingerprints Were Taken

As of November 25, 2019, fingerprints relating to your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, Receipt Number xxxxxxxxxxxxxx, have been applied to your case.

I contacted USCIS and they said your file is with National Benefits Center. Does anyone how long after biometrics file stays with NBC and when it is moved to local field office? My local field office will be Tampa.

Happy New Year everyone.

Have you heard anything since then? My daughter’s (adopted) I 130 has been in NBC since August 26th and silence since then. It is very very frustrating not knowing the processing time!!

@Ayako2019 hello :) I hope you and your daughter have settled in and are all well! may I ask if your daughter is adopted only by your husband, so your biological daughter or did you and your husband adopt her? Had you yourself had a Green card or are you USC?

I am asking because my USC husband adopted my biological son and applied for I-130 for both of us in November. Our son's case went to NBC as well  mine went to TX and we have requested expedite's for both cases. Mine has been approved already but our son's hasn't and we are unable to get any info on it. I'm just wondering if we might be facing a similar journey as you have had... Very frustrating...

HI, We moved to here in the US last year. My daughter's green card took a year and half. She is adopted by us. she is not our biological daughter. My husband is a USC and I am a green card holder.  Hope you will hear something very soon!

I130 was finally approved yesterday after my husband went for the interview in the US. He was told that they never processed our expedited request and that our file was all messed up but the interview didn’t take too long before the approval of the i130 as he said we had way more evidence compared to other people.

He also said he will send the i130 fast to NVC because I’m currently sick and was currently admitted in the hospital and have lost about 35lbs for a person of 110lbs that’s a lot and we’re expecting our first child, he said he will include a note so they can expedite it, hopefully I will be going for my interview soon and all this will be behind me.

Praying for everyone else waiting for approval, the journey will be over soon 🤞
